THE FRANKSAV MUSIC THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Went to see http://www.thecommitmentslondon.com/ yesterday. The music was brilliant but the Dublin accents were distinctly dodgy. :D

:D I think most of the cast were English, and a Dublin accent is hard to do at the best of times.

Just discovered this on YouTube - The 3CD set of the Soundtrack to Blade Runner - Much of the music on these discs is not now available...But there are some real gems incl; Rachels Song, Bicycle Song (Harps played by Gail Lauton of Harps of the Ancient Temples fame etc...

Totally chilled and expansive.... Blade Runner is one of my favourite Filums, I'd forgotten just how brilliant the score was/is - and how it contributed so much to the atmospherics of the movie....

For me the music and visuals in combination are The Best opening to a Movie Ever!

John Martyn was one of my mate's favourites. Took me ages to get into him but the track Solid Air is unbelievably atmospheric. I play it a lot.

oh, yes. watched the Accept-concert. Metal Heart, amongst the best metal albums from the '80s. Those were the days.
Watched WASP as support-act for maiden Somewhere On Tour in Essen in '86. WASP and Saxon in a small venue (Biskuithalle - been long gone now) in Bonn as well.
