Enough with the apologetics! & LOL at the 'tailing off slightly towards the end'. He sucked since October. The guy is our Veron and we would be lucky to get rid now whilst we can get a decent fee.

You are either a scum fan or desperate for some attention.I don't think you support the perennial under achievers.
I do find this board hilarious. Yesterday this thread was in mourning over fucking Jenkinson possible departure and the week before fucking Eisfield. Make your minds up do you want to clear the deadwood for trophies or do you want to hold onto denial/sentimentality? Ozil is a flop and I will keep repeating it until you all get past the 1st stage of grief & till you reach acceptance. I knew this guy was going to suck; I called it from the hour we signed the guy, as he couldn't compete 90minutes at Real Madrid to save his life and that is a less physical league so how can he make it in the world of Stoke City? He isn't what we need and never was; Santi is a far better player as is Ramsey and perhaps arguably Wilshere & Oxo.

What's the matter numbnuts didn't mummy and daddy show you enough attention :rubchin:

Özil :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:. Posts a yawning gif as is spectacularly bored by middle aged broken record.

The loan system is a farce. At one point towards the end of last season I decided to check how many players Chelsea had out on loan - 28. Literally more than you're allowed to register for a PL or CL squad. A huge number of those are talented young players they signed and will never ever play. FFS they signed Hazard's brother just to appease him and have loaned him out for 3 seasons now. Chelsea are not alone in this but they are by far the worst - they stockpile young talent and these talented players end up being sold at 24 with no top level experience. How Greg Dyke can get banging on about B leagues and close his eyes to this impediment is beyond me.

On the other side of the coin you have clubs like us who have taken players on a season-long loan. Huge financial resources, a massive playing squad and pool of academy players - how can you justify long-term loans for Viviano, Kallstrom, Benayoun, etc? Going after Demba Ba on 31st August last year was embarrassing transfer business but the mere concept of Chelsea loaning Arsenal a player for a whole season is absurd.
The numbers out on loan from Chelsea are ridiculous. They basically use loans like the property market. Just buying to let. Vitesse are just used as a shop window - I think it was last year they had about 5 or 6 Chelsea players on loan.

I see your point about Arsenal but I do think, for us, it was more to add experienced cover at short notice. As well, Benayoun played more for us than he would of at Chelsea, for example. I don't see a massive problem in taking a player like that. You would expect a club of Arsenal's calibre to not need loan signings but then again I read that PSG have taken Serge Aurier on loan... what a fucking joke! :banghead:

Oh and trying to sign Demba Ba was embarrassing by itself, let alone trying to take him on loan.
You could possibly justify that reason for Kallstrom given we had a lot of injuries and it was January but not the others. We had 2 months to replace Mannone last year and in 2012 Fabregas and Nasri's departures were obvious long before they were actually finalised, giving us weeks if not months to find a permanent replacement.

Putting aside the fact they were all shit signings, to me there is no justification for a club like Arsenal to be seeking loan signings in those scenarios.

Kinda reminds me of the time, the day after the chelski thrashing, that I told Arsenal fans to get behind Wenger so that we can with the FA cup only to get scolded by these Ozil lovers. Difference is Wenger went on to win the FA cup and Ozil, whilst also obviously winning the FA cup after a shite performance may I add, is still crap.

On topic of Quintero: WHY? WE NEED A FUCKING DMC YOU SENILE OLD FOOL! Why the fuck are you signing yet another lite-weight tippy tappy playmaker when we already loaded with em? FUCK FUCK FUCK!
