The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I like to feel that I keep an eye on football beyond The Arsenal but I have to admit that I have never heard of this Columbian guy  Of course I would have an issue with us potentially signing another short arse lightweight, but more worryingly it is further proof that le cock doesn't even see where our weaknesses lie, much less have the ability to fix them

So now we haven't sold Jenko just loaned him out ,why is that I wonder ?

Could it be that his wages were too much for West Ham and that we will be subsidising the difference as we have done for years with Djourou ,Arshavin,Santos ,Denilson to name but a few ?

Enough with the apologetics! & LOL at the 'tailing off slightly towards the end'. He sucked since October. The guy is our Veron and we would be lucky to get rid now whilst we can get a decent fee.

You are either a scum fan or desperate for some attention.I don't think you support the perennial under achievers.
I do find this board hilarious. Yesterday this thread was in mourning over fucking Jenkinson possible departure and the week before fucking Eisfield. Make your minds up do you want to clear the deadwood for trophies or do you want to hold onto denial/sentimentality? Ozil is a flop and I will keep repeating it until you all get past the 1st stage of grief & till you reach acceptance. I knew this guy was going to suck; I called it from the hour we signed the guy, as he couldn't compete 90minutes at Real Madrid to save his life and that is a less physical league so how can he make it in the world of Stoke City? He isn't what we need and never was; Santi is a far better player as is Ramsey and perhaps arguably Wilshere & Oxo.
I don't like the overrated googly eyed *word censored* either but I do think he needs another season.
Might as well be a scum fan with comments like that.

Wenger supposedly turned down Fabregas because we didn't need another attacking midfielder so why buy another attacking midfielder, this Columbian guy, for loads of money? and a relatively unproven one at that? Don't believe it for a second.......even though Wonga's 'Project Youth' seems to have given way to 'Project Midfielder', where he wants to fill the team with midfielders....... :rubchin: :banghead:

FACT.
Dreadfully unfunny :(
Sorry just a reflection of your usual attempts at posting and 'humour'.

Maybe Wenger has actually put a half plan into motion... Debouchy willeither sink or swim..if he swims - he sells Jenko next season - If not, he brings Jenko back - who has had a full season in the prem and will either have improved or.... :rubchin: :?

I'm glad he hasn't sold Jenko, as it means he still has the opportunity to become a full-time member of the (Arsenal) team...he's a Gooner and I would love to see him realise his dream.

I wish him well either way :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Exactamondo Amigo! Wenger DID offer to re-sign Fabregas, but only if he agreed to go in goal! :D

Topgoon likes this reply and wishes to add Debuchy is 29. Jenkinson and Chambers are 21 and 19 respectively.

If Jenkinson works out,can be brought back having had a good 30+ games under his belt and then we have 2 very good Fbs on our books.

Sounds like good planning ...ok Now I understand your suspicions

As much as people want him to succeed I think Herd is right. We plucked Jenkinson from being a part-time League One player to join our notoriously 'socialist' wage structure as a first-team member, then just over a year later handed him a shiny new contract along with the Ox. His wages are probably two or three times what any other club would be paying him, other than maybe QPR.

Di Marzio

"Milan will be scouting Joel Campbell during the Emirates cup and hope to discuss a deal with Arsenal executives"

The answer to those penniless tossers should be go away vafancullo. Probably spelt that wrong but it's the thought that counts.

He did more in that WC than Lukaku yet that lack of 1st touch striker just went for £28million to midtable dwellers like Everton. The asking price should be £30million minimum and no more loans. That will get rid of the paupers as they are skint and no one wants to take mad Mario off their hands.

We should be loaning or selling Sanogo and not Campbell.

Topgoon definitely does not like this deal and will be seriously f**ked off if there's any truth in it.
