Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Really think people are going overboard here, Chelsea lost 3-0 to Werder Bremen even though they played a strong side; pre-season means fu*k all.
The only thing that was made clear is the fact Arteta is physically shot and Giroud is complete deadweight - but then that wasn't a secret to begin with.

Maybe, but what you fail to see is that giroud will be our first chouice cf this season and arteta will be playing 75percent of matches. Not to mention jack wilshere continually falling on his arse when he has lost possesion or run into yet another blinf alley and moaning at the ref for no reason whilst the oppo break.
As long as these wrongs are not fixed we are fatally breached below the waterline.

My Portuguese is a little rusty but I translated it as "Arsenal rumoured to want Carvalho in a story made up by the newspapers, Wenger to come and state he's not interested and everybody to go back to what they were doing"1989 wrote:"Arsenal to bid €30m for Billy Carvalho"

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Annoying to see Wenger piping up about Man City again. If he wants to go and work for FIFA then he can spend all day moaning about FFP but he's far too concerned about what's going on elsewhere. They've signed a 36 year old past-it lump, they haven't sneaked Lionel Messi into their squad. Why does he always feel that it's his responsibility to whine about this? Doesn't come off well and if he wants to get written off as a moaning troublemaker - like the FA/English media have been on a global scale by FIFA - he's doing a brilliant job.

Was looking at the main piece and thought that you were suggesting that we are moving for Jackson martinez
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Surely you can see his point though? It's hardly whining to be talking about fairness in the game. If that's troublemaking then there's really no hope. Lampard may be a 36 year old but who's to say next time it won't be. We both commented on Chelsea's "loan business" and this is just as bad.northbank123 wrote:Annoying to see Wenger piping up about Man City again. Always for Arsene its about fairness though, he needs to move off that one and get on sorting the team out, searching Europe for DMs and devising a strategy for us to score at set pieces and us to defend just a tad at opponents set pieces.
