Djourou 2.5m + 12m for Vela + 1m for Eisfieldmcdowell42 wrote:So that's another 15m taken in ,which basically covers the money spent on chambers ,we got apparently 5m on cesc to the chavs which covers the money we spent on ospina,so we spent 30m on Sanchez approx 10m on debuchy,40m from our rumoured 100m ,if I've left anything out feel free to mention it.

Forgot completely about vela which covers the cost of debuchy,so basically only the Sanchez money has actually come out of our warchest.

Mc seeing as you always calling me miserable, could you please refrain from highlighting the minimal net spend that we have done again this transfer window - to this point all the wenker wenkers have been able to shout from the rooftops about the club has turned the corner and the manager is showing a new willingness to splash the cash, but here we are now with the facts in front of us showing that it is the same old same old

You do know that he moved to a basic 4-4-2 for about 20 minutes in one game last season, right?augie wrote:Poldi's Brother wrote:If Wenger is wanting to sign a player that can fill the CB and CDM roles it has to be Bayern's Javi Martinez for me. Big ask to prise him from Munich but you never know.
First name to spring to mind for me tooIf tighthole wenker wants to be a cheapo (again) and sign one player to fill two roles, then it absolutely has to be javi martinez - I would love it to happen which of course means that it wont

So he does tactics now too!

Chelsea have spent £80M+ this summer and have a net spend of about £10M - I suppose because it's not Arsenal it must be good businessaugie wrote:Poldi's Brother wrote:If Wenger is wanting to sign a player that can fill the CB and CDM roles it has to be Bayern's Javi Martinez for me. The Chavs have been amazing of late in the transfermarket. Hard to believe they have become so efficient.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
If we're looking for one player who can fulfill both roles (which is a pretty sensible idea) Martínez would be my first choice as well, though I suspect the chances are pretty slim.
I've not seen much of him lately, but Nicolas Nkoulou has looked good whenever I've seen him. And, of course, he plays in France.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
thats a good price for TV5. sad to see him go, i still think he'll be outstanding for them. very very glad that we told united to knob off.
to me it looks like liverpool and united are struggling to reinforce, i'm so glad that we have done most of our business already.
i don't see another CB coming - other than as a squad player - surely chambers will always be on the bench or playing due to his versatility ????
we desparately need that DM as soon as we can.

If Wenger is going to buy again, it will be the replacement for TV5 and that's it
