THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If he had cost 600 grand this statment would make sense. Saying this about a £16m pound signing however is a bit daft.

for 16m i expect a legend at least.

though united paid 30m for a defender who wasn't fit, so i reckon we should be just greateful he has both legs....

Nothing, he was on loan from Spartak Moscow's treatment room, we signed him as a buddy for Diaby during those long weeks on the table.........

If Wonga actually said "Calum Chambers has the qualities to establish himself as a regular member of the Arsenal first-team squad" then he is truly senile. After paying 16m for him, where else would he be, the reserves?? Fucking stupid comment.
I imagine it was meant to be a regular member of the first team??

WENGER OUT...if

1. We dont get a defensive mid

2. We dont get a striker

Last season we needed a striker, Wenger put a gag over most of us mouths by signing Oz11. Good signing but not our more dire need at the time. We wanted a striker in January and he failed to get one even on loan...

This season we STILL need a striker and he gagged most of us again with Sanchez. Very good signing but our system needs an out and out striker [unless he is planning to deviate from 4 2 3 1 formation]. Sanchez plays CF for country but thrives for Barca playing wide. I would love to see him AND a world class CF and Theo on the other side

I wont even bother to speak of the glaring need for a Defensive mid.

Debuchy, Chambers and Ospina are not signings to write home about. They hardly improve our team. They have pretty much replaced players

Peace

Still against for all of the same reasons.

So many great qualities but stubborn to the detriment of the team. Has forgotten what you need to win the league.

What a shame.

God forbid we have a manager who is looking to preserve our interests by enforcing the rules.

You think that Wenger's one man crusade would make any difference to UEFA?
