As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
We've made 37m so far from mainly sell ons & we spent 68m in fees so 31m in excess.
We should have at least another 20m in transfer budget.
You can factor in the fact that we have saved around 3m a year on Sagna's wages and probably around 1.5m for Jenkinsons wages.
Saw a story that said that if Man Ure don't get Vidal they are going for Alex Mong........that would be the funniest signing of the decade if he went there!!
Well Sanchez is on 150k. I reckon Ospina & Chambers are on 60k a week. Deb is i think 70k
I highlighted Yedlin's performances for the Yanks at WC2014, and subsequently read that he was in discussions with Roma. However, reports are now saying that he's likely to go to the Scum. I hope not. At a couple of million he would be worth a punt (although I was pleasantly surprised by Bellerin last weekend).
Unlike outfield players, it only takes a tiny decline in certain areas for the number 1 keeper in the world to become the 100th best keeper. Or the 100th best to become the 1000th best. Signing a keeper past his peak for massive wages is stupid. I'd rather have Fabianski is goal than Casillas as we saw at the World Cup.
Earlier this morning 5Live saying that Manure have approached barcawhores about signing Bong - That would be sooooo funny...the dozy *word censored* could anchor a mid-field if his life depended on it...

In the same vein that Almunia was very good. Just at making people laugh, instead of goalkeeping.
No, Song proved himself as an accomplished midfielder. Like I said he just wasnt a DMC.
That was the role he was meant to be playing though. He proved himself lacking in discipline, positioning and reading of the game, notwithstanding a few great clips over the top for van Judas to tuck away.
