To be honest I am happy I got the felt lettering, don't know why I have it but I do. Looks better IMO. Gave it it's first wearing today, love the kit. Surprising cos I hate puma and was not impressed they were gonna be making our kits.Happysteveo wrote:In theory if you take a shirt to be printed at an AFC club shop they would print with the same names and numbers worn by the players. This used to be felt until the 2013/14 season when it changed to "PS Pro", which is a slightly better quality vinyl than the vinyl printing that you'd get if it was done at somewhere like Sports Direct.Poldi's Brother wrote:Went to armoury at weekend for a home shirt, wanted mertesacker on back. They had some pre printed named shirts but not one I wanted. Anyway, the numbering on back was in same stuff the fly Emirates logo is printed on as. Asked staff who said that's what they print it with now as they don't use the felt type numbers anymore.
Ordered shirt online and it arrived today with felt name and number. Happy with that, just wondering why shop is using cheap plastic lettering etc if the online orders don't?
Anyway like the kit, badge isn't printed on either like some have said previously. It's like last seasons badge. Sewn on material badge. Wondering why some kits are sold in different spec????
I guess your online order has ended up with felt if they were getting rid of old stock? But technically felt isn't used anymore by the players, I'm surprised your order seems to have slipped the net.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from there, when the new ps pro printing came out it was mainly as a cost cutting exercise from what I gather. I prefer the felt as well. Which shirt did you buy?Poldi's Brother wrote:To be honest I am happy I got the felt lettering, don't know why I have it but I do. Looks better IMO. Gave it it's first wearing today, love the kit. Is this real for next season? It's so bad it may become a cult classic like the vomit kit.

Re: Puma to make our kits

Ditto. One of my favourites, the old squashed wasp kit.augie wrote:Whats the vomit kit ?Better not be the bruised banana kit cos that is a classic and I love it

beautiful in an ironic way. seeing it casts the mind back to wrighty, rocastle and limpar tearing it up 20 odd years ago.
however it is vastly uglier than any abomination nike came out with for us, even that fucking purple and balck number beats it hands down

Funny enough mate the only time wright rocastle and Limpar all played together in the bruised banana kit was on wrights debut when he scored the hat trick at Southampton in a 4-0 win in 91/92Henry Norris 1913 wrote:beautiful in an ironic way. seeing it casts the mind back to wrighty, rocastle and limpar tearing it up 20 odd years ago.
