As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He is a great shooter and an under-rated passer, but he lacks that bit of explosive pace that a Suarez type has, and did not seem accustomed to the back-to-goal holding the ball up work that Giroud does.
I think Podolski would be best as a number 10, but cannot see him getting that role with the others we have.
As part of a two man attack, I think he would get 18 - 20 goals a season.
Playing just off Giroud, or just behind Sanchez....love to see it if we went 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.
Think with 4-4-2 against all but the cannon fodder we'd lose the midfield but Topgoon keeps banging the 3-5-2 drum. We are now set up to do well playing that system.
The bin rustlers have crap centre backs and we would take Debuchy and Gibbs over Flanagan and the joke that is Glen Johnson any day. We could be really successful with the that formation, either Sanchez/Walcott/Poldi supporting the first front man and our as yet elusive Dm sitting just in front of the 3 CB's.

meanwhile we make do with Monreal as a back up CB
We'll sign another CB before the close of the window but it's not worth comparing anything we do to City really. I imagine that Monreal would be used as emergency cover - nothing more.
