Arsenal sign Gerd Muller version 2007 (2/7)

Post by gooner.ed »

usual thread starter... all i can say is... thank goodness for that. finally. some news. and a player signed cloak and dagger without the involvement of david dein? unless the thing was thrashed out back in april or something. main thing is arsene has addressed a very specific weakness in the squad. dare i suggest 'eddie' might be a fox in the box?

If Eduardo turns out to be only half as good as Gerd Muller was, then we will still have one hell of a goal-scorer on our hands!

Eduardo ooooh! Eduardo ooooh! he's not from Portugal, he plays for Arsenal.

OK not very good I grant you, but at least I tried!

If arsene sets the team round edurado, the fromation could look some what like this as Edurado has said that he likes playing with one holding midfielder, three central midfielders, also a strike partner who will hold the ball up for him so he can make runs in behind, big, awkward were the words used.

Lehmann (Gk)
Eboue (RB)
Toure (CB)
Gallas (CB)
Clichy (LB)
Gilberto (holding midfield)
Fabregas (CM)
Hleb (RM)
Rosicky (LM)
Edurado (Str)
Adebayor (Str)

Young Ben,

How could you? Why no Robin Van Persie? If you switch RVP with Hleb and the formation to a 4-3-3, success is much more likely.
