Unfortunately he reminds me of David Bently. A bit too full of himself and his apparent greatness.(not quite such a knob though but showing signs he may be).

This season should tell us a lot but in my opinion its a media creation. If he wasn't English no one would give him a second glance.
He's a sensational talent and one of us. Let's get behind him and stop slagging him off.

I'm not sure that Wilshere thinks he's great and I don't think he's under any illusions about the next year being crucial for him to step up. He is petulant and seems like a pretty thick bloke but I think his stunted development has been multi-factorial, not least due to a pretty woeful injury record. I think it's too easy to say he thought he'd made it or whatever. His brain doesn't get much of a workout but I certainly wouldn't bracket him with Frimpong.

For those slagging Jack off for his social media stuff, you obviously don't follow him. He tweets about 3 times a week. 2 most recent being his joy at winning the Charity Shield and a cute picture of him and his daughter. What a bastard.

It's definitely a massive season for him and I for one think he will rise to the occasion. I'm probably wrong though. :-P

it was only last week in Austria when training was interrupted by a cloudburst - as the rest of the squad ran in to dry off and train indoors, Jack the Tit lay down in a puddle and pretended to swim, then he tweeted a pic of it.

while the rest of the squad continued training, Jack had to shower and change.

I'm done with him - too slow on the ball, can't shoot and too small not to get knocked off it.

Maureen is going to see the same problem this year by building the chav team around Cesc - Deco could do it in Spain for him, but Cesc isn't going to be given time or space and like Jack can't hold his own.

Cesc's best chance is as a false Number 10 off the Bench, which is where he ended up a Barca...

Pees.

Don't know why you say that: when Cesc was with us, he was unplayable at times and arguably the best CM in the league - he's never had a problem with the intensity/physicality of the PL.

Agree on Wellshite comments, but totally disagree regarding Cesc,he has already proved he is a top prem midfielder who can handle the physical side of the game. I think he will inspire the chavs to the title (just as vancunt did at utd) and be named prem player of the season.

There you go again exagerating everything 1989 - wilshere has big potential but is far from sensational talent as that comment should only apply to the worlds elite players and he is nowhere near that level. I like the guy and really want him to succeed but I honestly think that he is done with us - injuries hampered him at a vital time and now he isnt even a starter with us so his development will be held back even more to the point that he is a squad player that will be sold off within two years  Really, really hope I'm wrong though

The judgements of Wilshere could be seen as the same ones labelled at Lampard at the same age. People really have no patience with players. As for supposed arrogance? He had a laugh with the camera man in a puddle, how is that acting big? Might actually show he doesn't take himself too seriously and can have a laugh. Seems a well liked member of the squad as well.

An Eboue type character
And Lampard at his age was twice the player and more that Wellshite is now and ever will be.
Wellshite will be at Villa or similar next season and will probably be forced to retire a few sessons after that due to piles, caused by spending so much time on his arse, a combination of bench warming and falling over on it.

I would suggest you look into that statement properly. Lampard at 22 was not the player he became. All the taunting New Yorkers after September 11th and the general idiocy he was displaying was a lot worse than Wilshere. He then went to Chelsea and knuckled down and went on to become brilliant. But it was certainly a learning curve for him. He only really started to kick on at 24.

What you mean is that the chavs starved the fat c*nt for 6 months until his weight was more manageable

FFS Flash,
We have had players on here called worse by not only myself but by Mods.
Alex Song (who I believe contributed more in his time at Arsenal than Wilshire) was called "mong") and there are many others who received the same type of stick.
What I would say though is that they were as far as I can remember mainly "foreigners" What people seem to be having a problem with is accepting that Wilshire is shite, because he is British.
Do you honestly think he would be receiving the same grace were he, let's say "Ivorian"?
I don't think so, i'm not saying it is racial thing, but Wilshire was hailed as the saviour of both Arsenal and indeed English football and he has failed on all fronts, and many on here seem to have a problem dealing with or accepting that.
I'm not interested in his injuries or sad stories, as we could say the same for Diaby, who suffered a much worse injury.
"Wellshite", is merely a play on his name and what I believe to be his talents, I will continue to use it unless more gooner forum censorship deems otherwise. If it causes the offence to those on here of a delicate disposition, then they should block my posts.

I agree Sid.You just have to look at the way Wally Walnutt is treated after playing one good half season in 7 years at the club. The English players definately get an easier ride than the others.Just look at the stick Rambo was given a year ago compared to Wilshere Wally and the Ox.Scholes hit the nail on the head when he said Wlshere hasnt progressed since he first got in the team

When i see 1989 call Wilshere briliant i laugh.Brilliant is Henry Bergkamp Pires not Wilshere

He was a chav player when 9/11 took place. And I'm not comparing their off field antics but their on field ones, where even at W ham it was vastly superior to Wellshite.
Lampard 148 app 24 goals by the time he was 23
Wellshite 85 app 4 goals now aged 22
So he needs to have one hell of a season for your statement to stand up.
