weekend fixtures Aug 16th-18th

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought one of the young players the Geordies brought on looked very good and troubled the citeeh backline :o The decision to book kompany was farcical - tbh I didn't think that it was even if a foul, so to book him as well is simply taking the piss

People can talk all they like about the good transfer business the chavs have done (and I agree they have), but as a team and squad citeeh are miles ahead of everyone else - the thing is though, that citeeh never seem to go at their max, and while that lazy attitude might work most of the time, it will eventually trip you up

That sounds like our title defence in 2003. We were much better than those f**kers that season. 2002 to 2004 should have been back to back prem titles and a champions league title to boot. It's easy now watching us to forget just how formidable that team was. Everyone in this current team bar Rambo would be lucky to make the bench...perhaps Kos for Toure but that's it.

Thought the barcodes did alright against City. 0-2 could have easily been 1-1.

I agree Augie - for my money City should be the team to beat. There is just so much ability in that squad, they can play terribly and bring on 2 or 3 quality players and completely change things up.

City are also a very physical side. Sagna, Kompany, Demechelis, Nastastic, Mangala, Toure, Fernando, Ferdindinho, Negredo and Dzeko must all be 6ft 1in or taller.

They will bully alot of teams and i bet they won't concede many set piece goals

I think Citeh's problem is that LesbianHead has infected them with his lazy cunty attitude.  They should really tear the ass end out of more teams than they do, the way our 02 and 04 teams did.

And what the fuck is going on with GF-Basher Sterling? He fucking runs like an over-excited teenage girl. The face on him too! "Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!"
