we have spent not much 35m apprx. and wages wont have gone up hat much given at least 3 big earners, verm, sagna, NB52 are gone, not to mention JD is finally completely of the wage bill, and i dont think we are supplementing jenks over inflated wages, flappys not small wages are gone as are vivianos that we would have been paying not that much they should have been.

i really cant see how our wages would have increased significantly given the above, despite Sanchez being on big bucks.

As such we must still be sitting on a shitload of war chest.

Our war chest is so fucking big I'd be tempted to use it at DM....probably more intelligent than Flamini and can't be any slower than Arteta.

As I said on another thread, Giroud returned 22 goals last season. That's only 2 less than the highly rated Sturridge.
I don't think he is all that bad and if played as part of a 4-4-2 I think we would see a massive improvement. I would prefer a genuine world class striker but they are few and far between and cost a kings ransom. I'm prepared to settle for a current French international for now.

There are far better strikers out there but then that applies to every position in our team.

Tbh, mate - this would be a VERY Wenger thing to do. Refuse to re-sign class like Fabregas because "there's no room in the midfield for him" and then re-sign the piece of useless shite that is Alex Mong.

We are talking about a man that would not offer Bobby a 2 year contract extension because the legend was over 30 but then signed the Mid-Op Transexual Silvestre from the filth on a 3 year contract, even though HE WAS OVER 30 AND ABSOLUTE SHITHOUSE!!!!
