Possible Solutions - no signings required

Post by Gunner Rob »

ok so we all know that we need a DM and a top class striker, but it appears that the stubborn one is not going to buy them. if we are lucky we might pick up that Greek defender on deadline day.

so what are the alternatives to Arteta in the DM position?
Apart from Flamini Wenger has stated that he thinks Calum Chambers can become a defensive midfielder.
maybe it might be sooner than we think - and maybe why we are buying the Greek defender and not a DM.

The Greek guy can be cover for Mert/Kos, Bellerin cover for Debuchy with Chambers rotating with Arteta in the first team as a DM?

as far as a striker is concerned then Wenger will perserve with Giroud and Sanogo as long as he can get away with it.
however what about Walcott to play there when he returns now that Sanchez appears to have taken his place on the right side of midfield? or maybe Sanchez will get more of a chance to play through the middle and put Walcott back on the wing?

anyway possible options there and reasons why Wenger will not buy more than just a defender by the end of the month.

Here's a new one from Wenger, to add to the "internal options" line. Apparently we can find a "creative solution" for Arteta's injury

So basically he's gonna play Chambers as DM.

As soon as Wenger turned up at Camp Nou with sixteen million demijohns full of pennies in order to sign Sanchez I had a feeling the old internal solutions would make an appearance.

This x 1000 8) :barscarf:

I'd bring back that Scottish bird that has left us to manage that Scottish league side, except for the fact that Giroud would have nailed her on the physio's table before the week is out (assuming he can get that lanky French shite off the table in the first place  ).

All joking aside, the reality is that if the manager goes and we cease this one up top system then we will automatically see an improvement imo. People can get their knickers in a knot about turning this into another wenker bashing but the reality is that the formation change would improve things and le cock won't change it :(
