Besiktas away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

because they believed the post FAC-win hype, and many - 48% on here tipped us for the title.

In a strange way I prefer to see us grow into a season rather than a few years back when we'd come out dicking teams by 4 or 5 in August only to have packed it in by October.

Ze Germans are on the way back, time to knuckle down.
:rubchin: If they were a poor side then I guess 0-0 suggests were are a poor side too :rubchin:

ID rather we grew into a season from day 1, little sign of that yet.

Arteta out for 2 weeks, one DM left in Flamoni already on a yellow.

We need a quality DM even more now :|

Incidentally, proof that Giroud was pants last night

We didn't play well but then we were away from home without our World Cup winners on a cabbage patch of a pitch in a stadium in which we're supposed to be intimidated by Turkish fans with megaphones..

Besiktas have a genuine lack of quality and they should be easy pickings at the Emirates.

Not denying that we're short defenders and a defensive midfielder.

Not sure that they will be that easy, especially without Rambo TBH- we really did struggle when he was out last year

Not sure if this is the right topic but Arteta out for at least two weeks according to The Guardian. How many injuries is that now in the first two games?!

Look on the bright side, he will be like a new signing when his two week injury heals fully in time for the run in. Lets not forget this is an Arsenal '2 weeks' which means a minimum of 6 :banghead:

Ldb it is not the performances that are most worrying for me, but it is the fact that these performances are coming in the same system and are showing the same old failings - a few weeks or a few months in isn't going to make any great difference when you consider that these same failings have been on show for a few seasons now
