All fair points but the reality is that he is considerably better than Giroud (and I'm no Giroud hater by any means) and to mention le postman in the same sentence as ballotelli is offensive to the Italian. We won't spend big on a striker at this stage, and in all honesty we all know that he won't buy a striker at all, but £16m for a team that has Giroud as its number 1 striker, would def be a risk worth taking imo

There was a story near the end of last season that Giroud was going to return to France for family reasons.
No idea if true but it might be how the Cavani rumours got started?

In other words, his wife wanted to get him back to France and away from all the tarts that he had been banging in london

Didn't read the articles and don't know about Cavani but he'd be an immense catch.

Khedira however - I think it's a done deal subject to our Champ League qualification. I would be very very surprised if there isn't a signed contract already done, subject to the qualification.

One of the most important things in the Premier league is work rate. Even an average player will surpass himself and become a very good player if he works hard. Fat frank being one of the most common examples.

Mario the complete opposite of a hard working player. Victims keep using Sturridge's transformation under Brenda as an example of what he can do about attitude. What a load of BS. Sturridge was never a lazy player with an attitude. He actually worked hard and felt under valued at Shitty and poorly used at the chavs but he still put a proper shift in,even though he wasn't happy.

This same principle applies to Suarez,a complete nutter but one that spent 90minutes giving defenders and sh*t team mates a hard time. Mario is not like either player. He is worse. A very talented player who wastes his talent. Every manager that has worked with him say he is one of the most naturally gifted players they've ever worked with but then got rid of him.

It doesn't make you an AKB to not want Mario here. And no it doesn't ignore we've had characters. But all of our our characters gave there all when on the pitch, some of them even did it while out of it

Lots on here slate Jack Wilshere for being talentless, overhyped etc after 3years of constant injuries. As hard as he tries, even trying too hard in my opinion he still gets slated by his own fans and pathetic rentaquote tossers like Jamie-7 own goals-Carragher. So it's ok to have talented lazy, trouble makers but discard one of your own that's actually trying to get better.

Is Mario better than Giroud, you tell me. Off the 117 players that scored 10 or more goals last season, guess who had one of the lowest strike rates. I'll give you a clue,it wasn't the Frenchman with the big honker and no that is not a f**king euphemism.

Quality player....go on Wenger you know it makes sense.

It would be another "name" signing and not a "need" signing so we would be no better unless we offloaded Wally, podolski and cazorla cos otherwise we would be overstocking again
Instantly cures the left sided problem. Walcott is ineffective there,Cazorla doesn't like playing there and Poldi wants to be upfront. Not our most pressing need, unless we got a CM as well and No I don't mean Khedira.

@ArsenalMartyr: Breaking: Arsenal have offered £32M plus Olivier Giroud for Cavani. PSG have agreed to take just the £32M

More comedy gold
Arsenalmartyr is probably a 12yr old scum fan who should be in bed. That deal especially with the Zlat being injured would be the worst deal in Europe right now.

Although there is a contender for even worse deal than that, Manure take Sporting's hot head player(collects more red cards than trophies) and give them £16m for their trouble plus add-ons,then give them Nani a player that cost manure £20million + from Sporting. And agree to pay ALL of his £92k a week wages and no loan fee.

Those details are pretty much known, yet no one is questioning the idiocy of such a deal. That's as bad if not worse than us subsidising Barry's 52k a week wages which we got a slagging for.

If as I hope and expect we beat Besiktas 2-1, we will bring in Khedira,Manolas and Remy. I actually think AW will take a gamble on his health. He was willing to do it with Ba last summer.

If we draw/lose that game,we will get Adrien Rabiot and probably Manolas and sell Santi to Atletico. Not in the know just got a gut feeling this is what will happen.

The Carvalho deal will only happen if the president of the club stops p***ing about over the release fee. Tony Leen still thinks it's on.

He is a talent who's had one, albeit brilliant season, but he hasn't done it year on year yet. His current wages though are so low that if we bid about 25mil he is gone.

The idea we rely on Mario who's a head case like Mario is laughable.
Jose who many here think is a great manager could not work with him at Inter.
There's a reason why he only went for £16m, no one was interested in buying him.
Sit back and watch him implode.

So they lose a world class striker and immediately replace him with another one? What a novel approach...
He really isnt though.

His disciplinary record is appalling, he is by all accounts an awful trainer and his attitude is beyond terrible. I don't want a player like that at Arsenal, as I am glad that we didn't get Suarez either.

We can do that better than that.
If we hd gotten Suarez, we would have won the league.

Some of our most successful sides were full of characters. They weren't all saints.

This "holier than thou" attitude is holding our club back immensely.

They are footballers. They're not supposed to be the leaders on moral authority and clean living.
Remind me, which of our past players was accused of being racist?

I would rather not win the league if it is because of someone who bites people, racially abuses people and doesnt even apologise for it.

What if Ched Evans was brilliant, would you be happy if we signed him? What about Lee Hughes? If Malkay Mackay was a brilliant manager, would you like him to manage Arsenal?

What about Richard Keys or Andy Gray commentating on Arsenal tv?

Maybe you can live with those kind of people at the club, but I can't. Who plays for the club not only represents the club but also the fans.

Go and support the likes of Chelsea if you don't like the fact we aren't signing criminals & racists, they are 'legends' down there.
Well done Arsenal, so pleased to be able to hold the moral high ground whilst everyone else does good business  I suppose we'll be finding out in the papers soon enough that all those other quality forwards didn't come to Arsenal because they were in fact part of an underground paedo ring :rubchin: and theres me thinking it was all because Wenger is a c*nt for thinking we have enough quality already....stupid me :banghead:

Personally Suarez could have bit who the fuck he wanted if it meant he'd have come and potentially won us the league last year. They're footballers FFS not clergy men and lets be honest some of those behave worse and then hop into a confessions box and hey presto they're absolved of any wrong doing.

I for one will be extremely pissed if this transfer happens especially if we don't sign anyone else.
Absolute rubbish - the guy was convicted of being racist to an opponent (more than once) and then refusing to even apologise.

The like of Adams and Merson had their problems but I don't recall them ever being racist.

We have more chance of seeing Sanogo score the winner in the Champions League final than we do seeing Cavani in an Arsenal shirt.

Khedira would be just what we need.
Why?
You won't get a straight or proper answer ,he will just accuse you of being a spurs fan while avoiding the question ,the sun shines out of wengers arse for him.
You find that a lot with the Wenger sympathisers and that's because deep down they don't have an arguement. When you call them out face to face it normally ends up with them getting aggressive. My brothers best mate is an AKB and he overheard me slagging Wenger when a load of us were out for my Bro's birthday, the prick offered me outside in the middle of a resturaunt.

Had it been a week later I would have taken him up on the offer as we got thumped 5-1 at Liverpool, I did text him to ask if the offer was still there but funnily enough he never replied.

If one of them could give me a rational arguement I wouldn't mind but it's like the old 'my dad's tougher than your dad' from my school days............."look Wenger is not a c*nt"..........."oh, ok then how stupid of me" FUCK OFF :banghead:
What does that have to do with the poster above saying he doesn't rate Ballotelli and wants Khedira?

Don't agree, augie. Absolutely not. The facts don't support that.

Posted this on another thread but it fits here too!

Mad Mario may have better technique than Giroud, but he will not score more in the PL and will not contribute to the team anywhere near as much. Mad Mario might be tolerated if he was hitting 20+ league goals every season but he isn't and never has. For me his shitty, whiney fucking baggage far outwhieghs the very limited positive he might add (that being a couple of brilliant volleys and a flick or two per year  ). Fucks sake, Song used to do that!

It took Mad Mario 3 seasons at Inter to score 20 league goals. 3 seasons at Citeh to get 20 PL goals. And 2 seasons at Milan to get 26 league goals. And that was in teams where the managers were flexible enough to adapt the system to suit him whilst he was on the pitch. People might say "but he didn't play as many games as Giroud does". I'd counter with "why do you think that is? Him being an arsehole maybe?". Also, there isn't a huge difference in the number of games. Giroud plays in a rigid flawed system that does not play to his strengths under an inflexible manager and yet has delivered more than Mad Mario in league terms. Giroud scored what? 11 in his first PL season and 16 PL goals last season? And interchanged passes and assists on numerous occasions. Giroud always shows, no matter how shit the ball is. He wins the majority of headers and aerial balls he goes for. Can you imagine Balotelli putting in that effort? How long before he gets in a huff because he's isolated up front in a 4-5-1? Milan can't wait to get rid of this cúnt. He is poison. A selfish, childish waster.

I've said it before, Giroud ain't world class. But I'd have him ahead of the sulky selfish arsehole that is Mad Mario every day of the week.

Class Is Forever.

Former Netherlands and Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp, 45, now a coach at Ajax, proved he had not lost his touch by slamming in a perfect volley in training. ( 101 Great Goals)

Why don't we bring God back - So we can then get shot of Wenger.
