The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes this could be another seb frey never ending rumour, but the concern here is that kalou is actually a player that le cock rates - the other concern is that he is exactly the type of player he likes as he can play (and I use that phrase loosely  ) anywhere across the forward line so he ticks the versatile and African or French boxes

Oh no, if Song is on a free, Wenger won't be able to resist. Remember his interview about Kallstrom, how he was impossible to resist as was free and his club would pay his wages for the 6 weeks that he had a broken bone in his back.
I still laugh when I type that, in a maniacal kind of way.
But anyone who thinks Sanogo and Giroud can bring us the title is either on drugs, or on £8 million a year :banghead:

If only he was French and ambled around like a new born giraffe

The best finisher at the club is off, he's just posted this on twatter -

Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out. Opportunities don't…

It's over my head but hopefully he's having a pop at L'Asshole :banghead:

me too. always gve 100%, clinical finisher. i hope he goes public about the wanky way wenger has treated him, but i suspect he has too much class.

the way wenger has treated Pod is totally odd - buy a clinical goalscorer, play him out wide, drop him or sub him when he doesn't perform, and then sell him when you still need a clinical goalscorer.

i sort of suspect that at some stage Pod told him "i'm a striker, you bought me as a striker, so play me as a striker because and i'm crap out wide" and wonga saw that as doubting his infallability....

Pod and Giroud would have played well together as a front two i think - a big man who can hold it up and head, and the clinical striker. its a classic combination but not for our dear leader apparently.
