It's so obvious that we'll struggle against any half decent side but at least we can carry on the Groundhog Day situation that's been going for the last 17 years.

That actually sums everything up

If we draw Olympiakos we should let the team run out to I Got You Babe

Had to go to one of my kids playing in a final tonight so have only seen the highlights but it does seem that the team battled hard and worked their arses off which is pleasing 8)

Re the important incidents, can I say that I do feel that debouchy fouled their guy for the 2nd yellow but I'm not sure the foul was worthy of a yellow tbf. Of course the flip side is that they should absolutely have had a penno for his tackle in the first half

At the end of the game all of the "experts" on sky were gushing in their praise for wilshere and that pleases me greatly - we all know that he hasn't been playing well but we all know that he could be a great, great player if he gets his head together. For me he is one of our's and if he has his head right, there is no player in AFC that I would want alongside me more in a battle 8)

And you would also want Sanchez.

He is like Joe Pesci but in footballer form and much better looking.

Sanchez is such a warrior. Can't remember a more hard working striker in an Arsenal shirt.

Chamakh and Adebayor were lazy fuckers for us but put in the biggest shift of their lives when they play against us. No doubt Bendtner would do the same given the chance. :x

Really hope Sanchez' work rate inspires the others. I think it will (apart from Ozil of course)

I think it's time to either play Ozil at no 10 or not at all. He is not and will never be a winger. Expecting him to put in the required work rate for that position is pie in the sky. At home playing him there is a waste, away from home it is a liability. I feel sorry for Monreal as he is having to do the work of 2 people a lot of the time. It's time for round pegs in round holes AW.

Yes, we won! We did it! We qualified for the be all and end all competition! Here's to more of the same!

As has been mentioned, it's painfully obvious that we're gonna get dicked by the first decent team we meet. But hey at least we can keep up the illusion that everything is great. Look, we qualified for the group stage for 17 consecutive seasons, aren't we great! No mention from AFC of the one solitary final and one other other semi final in that period of course...

Let's hope so because the inspiration doesn't come from Wenger, we've had a barrage of lazy looking cnuts as he's unable to motivate them as individuals, the way Chamakh played against us is a great example of the change in attitude when a player goes elsewhere

The reason I was so happy was because we avoided Europa shite rather than the fact we qualified for the cl...fuck playing thursday and sunday.

Ozil was awful!
Has previously played well wide left for Germany but made little impact tonight, though above all it was not his positioning that was so bad it was his atrocious touch.

Jack is looking more and more as if he will be a West Ham player next year, but I hope he turns it round like Ramsey did.
Kept giving away the ball, falling over etc.
Why did Sky praise him?

The Ox muted, he has great initiative and skill, great creativity, but needs time to integrate.

I thought Sanchez worked his socks off, it was as if he thought to himself that Ozil and Wilshere were no good so he decided to play by himself.

Chambers really does have something about him, inner conviction and top tackling technique.
In the programme notes he says he is most experienced at and most comfortable at centre back.

Totally agree with you about Ozil... but I think your being a tad harsh on Jack though. I have been one of his critics especially so of late but I thought he looked a little better last night.
I still staunchly believe that Wilshere and Ramsey cannot operate in the same midfield... they are to similar, and I have been going on about it for a while now. Nobody listens though!
