If this happens feel pity for the shirt printers trying to get that name on a shirt
He wears "Sokratis" on the back.
So let me see if I have this right, Manolas was available for £8million,we dither and quibble over the fee till Roma snap him up and now we are bidding 15m for Sokratis. You don't need a Ph f***ing D to realise that's stupid economics.

Oh who cares we'll tread water, win f**k all. 3more years of fun. :barscarf:

It's certainly a change in philosophy going for Sokratis...

AKB'S on August 28th - ''There is still time left to buy players, don't judge Wenger until the window is over''

AKB'S on September 1st - '' We cant change anything now, so get behind the team''

and repeat for every transfer window

A failure to sign a striker now, when our one half-decent striker is crocked for four months(eight months in Arsenal time) could well rank as one of AW's biggest derilictions of duty. I hope he's keeping his cards close to his chest but I suspect it's his wallet.

I agree it could be a massive mistake and with Chelsea getting rid of Torres you'd think that they'll also be in the market for another striker.

Whoscored.com is an incredible site that has a ridiculous amount of stats and figures from all over the world. You can check out what they have to say about Rabiot here

The people who know (admittedly I'm not one of them) have compared him to Manu Petit. He can play centre half but is also extremely accomplished on the ball and can play in the centre of midfield. He is very highly rated, so although it's not a huge name, I reckon this could end up being a good bit of business (if it gets done).

Callum Chambers seemed like a lot (about the same age & cost) but that so far seems good business,

Oh for another Petit 8) 8)

Very pleased that Sanchez got off the mark yesterday but I'm extremely concerned as to where our goals are going to come from sans Giroud.

Wenger practically ruling out bringing in another striker is incredible, I can only hope he is talking out if his arse so he doesn't get gazumped on any potential deal.

We are really short, and the clock is ticking.

I hope to fucking God Wenger is just playing the media by telling them we wont sign a striker so we dont look desperate to any selling clubs and/or dont get beaten to a deal by another club.

I wont be holding my breath.

"Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot with his agent arriving in London to finalise his switch to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have been in talks with French side PSG for weeks over a deal for Rabiot, and after upping their initial bid to £11.9million in the last few days, a deal is close.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the 19-year-old has provisionally accepted a contract with Arsenal and now his agent and mother are in London to finalise terms.

Arsenal are still waiting for PSG to accept the offer on the table, but it’s said to be close to their asking price, and with the player refusing to train to force through the switch, they are under pressure to sell.

Chelsea and Roma are also in for Rabiot but he has always favoured a switch to Arsenal"
