I had lunch with Kenny Sansom and Charlie George about two or three years ago in the clock end function suite. They were both really decent fellas. I used to get pissed occasionally in the seige house in Colchester with Grovesy. I saw Bobby P once in Covent Garden. I said hello and he looked a bit nervous about being recognised.

I've met Charlie George, Terry Neill, Perry Groves (who I got shit-faced with) and Sammy Nelson - a really lovely man. Met Paul Merson outside Highbury a few years ago and he stopped for photos etc. It used to be quite easy to meet players when I was a kid and get their autographs, but they are a different breed now. I have a number of signed shirts etc from the pre-season tour of Austria, where the players are reasonably accessible.

After the Reading game I met John Lukic with his daughter in the Mcdonalds on Holloway Road...he wasn't eating anything, just an orange juice!...but I said thanks for everything he gave to Arsenal, to which he said no problem.
Managed to meet Justin Hoyte who seemed very humble and honestly honoured to have his name associated with Arsenal. Djouru seemed ok as well.
Terry Neill, I've met a few times at away games, the same goes for Charlie George who are both top.

Big surprise - Should have waited in the Ladbrokes over the road, something which would have increased your chances of meeting enormouslyMagic Merse wrote:I once waited for a few hours outside the gunners shop and finsbury to meet David Seaman and Paul Merson.
When we got to the front there was no merse. I was gutted.

Toure outside Nandos in wood green! He was standing in the middle of the street chatting with mates for about an hour and just smiled although people apporched him for autographs and photos every other minute.
