The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yep, definitely has the finesse of a defender. Just look at that finish, terrible.
Wow.....shall I now go and look for all the ones he's missed. That will be fun. I'd love to sell you a player - a couple of YouTube clips and you'd be paying £30m. Is that what did it for you with Fellaini....the midfielder who was exactly what we needed a year ago and these days the laughing stock of the PL

So...A few weeks ago after four quality signings I was quite optomistic and looking forward to the season.
Over the last couple of weeks all hope has slowly slipped away and I had a horrible feeling that we was going to get song and welbeck. Thankfully West Ham saved us from Mong and I'm hearing rumours that Falcao has failed his medical...fingers crossed this is true and we don't sign anyone :(

On a serious note.....if Kos or BFG get injured he clearly thinks Chambers is capable of playing there regularly. Massive gamble - the boy will be under huge pressure once the season properly hots up

The last time this 'deal sheet' thing was submitted and we were waiting for confirmation was with Arshavin.....what could possibly go wrong?

I remember Adams being put in that position - he was labelled a donkey who made everyone eat their words :barscarf:

I don't think he even thinks about it mate. During the Leicester game kos was off injured and debuchy was down injured, surely it would have occurred to him then that chambers can't play two positions at once and we need another cb.
I foresee a serious injury to kos, BFG or debuchy and chambers having to cover for most of the season resulting in fatigue, followed by loss of form and confidence...and probably injury problems for the rest of his career.
