Welbeck was not the signing most of us wanted. As he's agreed a long contract I think we have to give him 3-6 months to prove his worth. I'm prepared to give him a chance even though I moaned when the first rumours hit the web.

Good luck, Welbeck & welcome to the Arsenal.

Just a short-sighted transfer policy over the last few years. We've spent 40m nearly and ended up with 3 average strikers in Giroud Podolski and Welbeck. Plus pretty massive wages between them. That's without taking into account the formation issues which means only one of them can play there and none of them can hack it or certainly won't produce their best. Have some fucking conviction.

Hope he does okay, il give him a chance but highly unimpressed (although not surprised) with the negligence.

Was not happy AT ALL about this signing but looking at the positive:

Welbeck has good pace
He's a hard worker so will help with Sanchez in closing down the opposition in their half
Has good strength

But the same problem as with Giroud: IS A SHITE FINISHER. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Ideally we wouldn't have him but since he's a gooner now we should all stand behind him and hope he provides a good outlet of pace in the forward line. Sanchez, him and Theo as the front three must be pretty daunting for the opposition defence due to pace.

Just don't play as the last one who wore 23.
Some say, it could be the same as with Sturridge who was shite as Chavs and good now at Victims.. let's hope so :)
:barscarf:
I'm sure he'll know how to use those passes from our glorious midfield more than Postman... :D

Ok maybe not the perfect signing but i think he will do well . Manure are shelling out 24mill for a loan of a striker coming back from a cruciate knee op, desperate !!!!

Am a happy bunny! :barscarf: Welbeck has done well for England when played down the middle.

NO MORE SANOGO! How on earth can anybody be unhappy? Give Wenger credit for not sticking with his project :barscarf: I think he knew a mutiny was about to happen if the Postman had another bad day at the office (ie a normal day)

His record up to now is poor/average, he may come good playing through the middle and he has something to prove so let's give him a chance before we condemn him, he does possess something that none of our current squad has, a premier league winners medal!

Because we have a grip on reality and can see Sanogoals is not up to it, anybody with half can see he has to be dropped and replaced by Welbeck.......oh I see what your doing here, you think Wenger is mental and won't......oh f**k you could be right. "Danny av you ever considdered playing in defensssse mon ami?"
