As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Wellbeck looked okay when he came on last night. He wasn't heavily involved but I think that was mainly down to the ball not getting through to him. Things broke down before that (why does that seem familiar?).
He looked to be quite strong on the ball and was willing to put in a tackle on the couple of occsions it was required.
Having watched him more closely last night than I have before I'm actually quite optimistic. I think if we can get the ball to him he'll have a real go..............
.....unless of course we knock that instinct out of him and teach him how to pass when in front of goal!

Paul Hayward daily telegraph.
I'm in no way referring his above comment from what I'm gonna say but that Paul Hayward seems to be a right d*ckhead - have seen him a few times on sunday supplement and he talks in such a condescending way and he seems to be a right boring w*nker

I believe Arsene will address this quite quickly. The last bloody thing we want is some wild man loose cannon getting in front of goal and having a shot.
I have to say that I was underwhelmed when we signed him but I read a piece by some Manc who was crying about him going to us, he pointed out that even when being played out of position he tried his best and, more importantly, when he did get a chance to play through the middle last Christmas when Rooney and RvP were injured he scored 6 in 6 games. Granted they were against (even compared to Utd last season) average teams, Villa(2), West Ham, Norwich, the Vermin and Swansea but the fact is when he was played in position he scored. So I'm hopefull.
That said, the genius will probably play him on the left with Sanogo up front

On which side, your mom's or your dad's?
It would have been rude not to after augie's Sanogo type miss of the open goal Lefty gave him!!

In fairness the last time augieSanogoals was put clean through like that he hit the post from 5 yards against the Mackem fans!
Welbeck success or failure with us, the jury's still out. I'm not his greatest fan but his most important asset for us issue doesn't stop working, hassling defenders and he tracks back which is more than any office past 23's ever did.
Anyone read his interviews yesterday. They are going down really badly in Surrey.
Especially when he calls Henry his idol(good choice mate) and says he always envisaged himself playing for the Mighty Arsenal.
The natives don't like it and think it's disrespectful.
Bit of hypocrisy there.
When Manure's official twitter account made ref to his goal tally as he signed for us,most of their glory hunting tw*t headed fans thought it was funny. Classless
Only an idiot would take his comments as some slam against United (then again they are idiots) He was complimentary about his new club and also made some nice comments about enjoying his time at United. He hardly did an RVP did he? Plus, they sold him! He wasn't forcing a move.

I see so much of TH in him at that age. No doubt some of our supporters on here will knock him, but unless your argument or moan has good reason or your a ST HOLDER - I ain't listening
