The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wooooooosh!

Sorry, mate. Didn't mean to touch a nerve. My wife tells me I'm too sarcastic all the time, too. I assure you that everything I said was in jest.

I notice that Chelseas No 3 Striker scored for France whereas Arsenals number 1 scored 2 for the under 21's against Kaza !

eh ?

he was 'promising at 16' ? - WTF, at 16 he was likely playing against 16 year olds, not 25 year old CB's...

why doesn't he play in the reserves like Ramsay, OX and Walcott did ? - why straight into starting for the first team.

i know he's compared him to Anelka, but FFS Anelka at 17 was playing upfront for PSG at the top of Ligue 1 and they were very very pissed off we snatched him. so much that the rules changed just after.

Sanogo was in a team that was 16th in Ligue 2 (i looked it up). so they are/were basically Sheff Wednesday...

Anelka was always always going to be a top striker due to his pace and first touch - all he needed was to finish better. Sanogo, needs pace, a first touch, positional sense, more confidence and finishing ability.

in short, he plays like a 16 year old in the premiership. lost.
According to my golf coach playing with better players only helps to improve your game. With that in mind I suggest he has a season or two in my local Sunday pub league :D

First time I can remember our two main strikers having identical goals to games ratios......0.00000 goals per game
Danny has equaled yaya's goals tally in just 90mins :-)
