Re: The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment
if they do have to relocate, we can call them the tottenham wanderers. that'll fuck them off after the century of bitterness regarding our apparent nomadic history
Re: delusional spuds
I'm surprised that the FA aren't offering a deal of rent plus 50% of gate receipts, they'd pay off the stadium a lot quicker. Have they actually finished the MK Dons stadium, thought the upper tier still needed seats?clockender1 wrote:i'm not sure what would be funnier - them playing at MK dons, or only getting wembley a third full or less :

fairplay to the happy hammers for refusing to groundshare their new stadium in its first year though![]()
in a perfect world the spuds would end up at MK Dons and get stuck there![]()
i don't see them ever getting 55k+ every home game anyway, they're delusional.
Btw is the owner of Holloway Steel a member of this forum?

Realistically the FA would greedily Hoover up essentially free revenue but it would be hilarious watching the Scum half fill the most overrated stadium in the country.

I'd guess there is a limit on events at Wembley Stadium which would prevent it?northbank123 wrote:Realistically the FA would greedily Hoover up essentially free revenue but it would be hilarious watching the Scum half fill the most overrated stadium in the country.

Yeah, I don't know if they have space for a freak show, circus act every other week.cdparky wrote:I'd guess there is a limit on events at Wembley Stadium which would prevent it?northbank123 wrote:Realistically the FA would greedily Hoover up essentially free revenue but it would be hilarious watching the Scum half fill the most overrated stadium in the country.

Re: The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment
Just been reading about this, and am amazed that the secretary of state has slapped a compulsory purchase order on the steel company
Maybe theres more to it, but seems like an act of a totalitarian state
Cant they find a site somewhere that doesnt mean forceful eviction like this?
I thought these orders could only happen for nationally important infrastructure projects for the greater good such as rail/other transport links. Surely theres no way a Compulsory order can go ahead on a planned football ground- Im pretty shocked TBH- Whether its the Scum Manure Southend or Wigtown Utd its totally out of order to forcefully evict someone in this way

Because they are in an area that is quite simply a f**king eye sore that any regeneration is considered nationally or in this case locally, very important, hence the CPO.Theoperator wrote:Just been reading about this, and am amazed that the secretary of state has slapped a compulsory purchase order on the steel company![]()

It'll be a white elephant and never get filled. Let them waste their money. By the time they move in,we'll be even further ahead of the losers.
Re: The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment
Ive had a lot of e-mails and phone calls on this subject with people panicking about what might happen during Spurs enforced sabbatical from the Lane .
I can answer the most frequent correspondence as follows
1. The Shadow knows no limits they can be in Hackney Hertfordshire or Hell ,they of course always remain in the Shadow
2. The chances of them being allowed to play at Le Grove is ZERO ,the residents and the Council wont allow it ,end of .
3. ****** Keynes is perfect for them ,none of them lived in Middlesex anyway !
Have a good weekend

I can confirm that unlike "The Gap", our friend "The Shadow" does indeed know no limits.

Re: The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment
In many way we could take pleasure in them actually playing at the grove, they would have to pay handsomely for the privilege and I'm sure many of them would boycott "home games" I can't think on anything more demeaning for them than to have to play at our place every other week.
They would need a huge police presence to protect the stadium and surrounding area, which they would have yo foot the bill for. Plus we could poke fun at them over it for the rest of time.
So I think we should start a petition.

I'd have no issue with them having their home games at the Grove for a year.
Think of the money AW would have available to not spend after that

Unfortunately, any financial gain would be limited by the cost of having to fumigate the entire fucking place every two weeks.

Re: The Scum Thread/Stadium Redevelopment
Heard that the Arsenal Board had rejected a request from Spurs to use our stadium, not sure how true that is?
Brent Council very unlikely to allow Wembley which has a strict limit on events per year.
Twickenham unlikely too, RFU apparently not keen on a football club using it.

If only Dim Tim was still in charge, they could play in his hometown!
