I will optimistically say we can draw this - we have not won a match against one of the "big sides" since we beat City in April 2012. We then had a world class striker. We now don't and why we won't win one of these games again for a while.
meanwhile regarding Danny Welbeck - there's only one Ivan Gazidis
If memory serves me correctly our world class striker got nowhere that day and it was a great strike from Arteta that won us the game. Judas huffed and puffed to no avail.
Shitty were beaten by world beater Name Biram Diouf. We have enough players to beat that team with the right tactics. Their squad size is irrelevant. They can only field 11 at any time. Tactics are the key.
They play a ridiculous high line and are sometimes cocky enough to leave just 2 in the middle. Pack the midfield and play on the counter attack. Yaya Toure is only good going forward. When he loses the ball, he looks clumsy and cumbersome trying to win it back.
So If you'd said we won't play them to accentuate our strengths and to exploit their weaknesses then your point might make a smidgen of sense.
Well done on rewriting history by the way, the victims are considered one of the big boys and I think my memory stretches back to a 2-0 win against them last autumn with good strikes from Santi and Rambo.....or was it Judas in disguise
We havn't looked convincing in any game this year & that's against the 'lesser lights', sorry toffees !, & Bestikascrap. So I don't expect too much against $chitty. Without Rambo the job got that much harder. Maybe 1 - 1. 'Danny boy' may well have a blinder though against his old next door enemy in blue.

We were more than convincing in the Charity shield- we were very very good. Not too bad V Besiktas (H) too I thought, agree though all 3 PL games havent been so good bar the last 10 mins v Toffees
I had a quick look on ticket exchange cause i was tempted at a flight and going to the game...but f**k me 127 quid for a decent seat......eh...might stay home for shamrock rovers!!
On the game side of things...im hoping this is when Ozil goes to his proper position rather than the wing, i think with players in the proper positions we could have a decent go at this......still expecting to be battered though....

sorry I keep forgetting that the victims are now considered to be a big side - I suppose that last autumn they were starting to emerge again.
tactics you say are key tomorrow - probably they are. whether Wenger uses any is debatable
Just had a can of Blue Bear so the confidence is high (overdosing on caffeine will do that to you! ) and I have a sneaking suspicion that we might nick a result here. IF Toure doesn't show (and he is inclined to have a few games like that) and IF Arsene plays Sanchez or Welbeck (or BOTH!! ) centrally or IF he plays Ozil as a 10 rather than a winger and IF he drops SanoGoals and IF he reverts to 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 with tactical variations as required and only resorts to 4-5-1 when on the backfoot and IF he...
I feel good about this.
It flies in the face of our recent sluggish build up play, but I think Alexis Sanchez and Ozil are going to enjoy playing with Welbeck (as long as Welbeck is used up front, which I think he will be).
He does not have the shot to goal ratio of an Henry, but he will make decent runs and make them with pace and keep trying all game, and I think he will get around 25 goals per season for us.
3-1 to Shitty. They will go 2-0 up, we'll huff and puff for a goal and have a good five minutes but then they will score a third. Sanochanceofagoal will start up front and Welbeck will end up coming on late and play five minutes at left back. Wanker will then claim it's everyone else's fault for everything.
i feel good about this too - welbeck, ox, chambers etc are buzzing - they've just done the team photo, spirits seem high (ox is fluent in spanish ? wtf !) but then i remember we have wenger.
the result of this game depends on him.
if he sets them up properly we may win, but if he sets them up as the FAC semi and final, palace, leicester, besitkas and everton, we'll get pased through and or hit on the break at get stuffed.
Citeeh have never given us the runaround at the grove and I cant see it happening tomorrow either - they seem to play at a relaxed pace against us at the grove and it is exactly the way we would want them to play. Actually when you think about it, their team is generally devoid of any real attacking gusto and wear the opposition down more than anything else so for them to give us the hiding that they did last season, reflects more on our lack of character than it does their abilities.
Tomorrow it could be 2-1 to us or 2-1 to them so I'm going to split the difference and predict a 1-1 draw - I wouldn't be surprised if le postman grabs his first goal for us tomorrow and le cock will walk off the field beaming from ear to ear in a "I told you so" way

, my money is on a 1-1, Welbeck to score 1st and I'm in da money
