I just don't understand the reasoning behind such late substitutions. If they are going to be made THAT late in the game then there's just no point in doing them at all, I mean realistically what kind of influence are players meant to have with about 10 minues of game time??

This alone is evidence enough of Wenger's total lack of tactical knowledge and sense. It's pathetic.

I like getting home from the game and reading the thread and respect most peoples opinion.
Hate reading dickheads calling our support mugs. Fair enough if you don't want to go to the game but don't slag off people who do. I'm a season ticket holder, I know we pay stupid money to go and see our team but thats what I go to work and earn money to do. I love going to see my team.
Do I want it to be like it used to be?....of course.
Do I want to pay less?....obviously.
Do I want to be driven out of my club and replaced by tourists?....fucking never!!

Wind your neck in and stop calling people mugs who go and support your team whilst your sat at at home you prick.

While today's game (and performance) was ok it really highlighted the lack of leaders we have both on and off the pitch. When we went 2-1 up we should have slowed the game down but instead continued to play at pace and tried to pass our way out of our half. There is a time and a place and a couple of times we gave the ball away to them when it should have been hoofed into row Z. We really struggle to change our style when a different tactic is required. Ches's distribution when we were 2-1 up was woeful, Rambo is going through a bad patch, and Ozil was carried for much of the game. This game seemed to add further weight to the belief that Jack and Rambo are too similar to be effective together and Ozil needs to be on the bench unless he is played down the middle. We must be the worst team at using gamesmanship as well - a bit of time wasting when you are in the last few minutes never goes amiss! Having said that City looked like a class outfit and it's difficult to see anyone but them or Chelsea winning the league. For us I feel a Champions League run beckons with glorious failure in the last 8 to come!

I feel it's imperative that we have more fans with this attitude towards supporting the team. Otherwise we will almost certainly be driven out by tourists.

The way I see it anyone who pays for and attends category A matches is inadvertently helping to get rid of the fanbase and replacing it with tourists. If my opinion means I upset some of our supporters such as yourself then I am sorry but I just think the prices for category A matches have now gone too far.

Last season Liverpool supporters put enough pressure on Arsenal to ensure that the FA cup tie with them was made category B. We need to be putting similar pressure on the club for these matches.

My cousin (an absolute rosetinter  ) is very critical of Chesney and in particular the 2nd goal - he says that if we don't get a better keeper then we fcuked. Was he that bad ?
Stays on his line, never a goal as Flamini was going to head it away till he dived to save it. He is still a decent keeper but he needs to cut out the mistakes or make way for Ospina

He was the best keeper in the game. England's no 1 has to be one of the worst shot stopper's in the league

If that's your opinion that's fair enough...everyone is entitled to one.
I totally disagree though...if we stop going we will be replaced...but that's an argument that is ongoing and will be hard to prove either way. I understand your (and others) point of view but personally I refuse to stop going to see The Arsenal as that's what I love to do...if that changes then I shall stop going but only because I no longer enjoy it...i will not be driven out by anyone else.

As I said...you are entitled to your opinion but I get pissed off with being called a mug. I don't think you'd call me one if you met me so why do it online? We're all gooners and it's up to us how we support our team..at the ground, in the pub or at home but I don't understand how people slag our support but don't go themselves...if you don't like it turn up and make yourself heard.

So if a lifelong season ticket holder keeps going to games he is somehow helping "replace" himself with those who are occasional fans?

If that season ticket holder does not go to games anymore then even more tourists will go!

Just how it is.

Football prices began rising out of proportion to historical levels over 20 years ago and if they have managed to stay high during this recession then I cannot see anything in the near future that will bring them down short of an outbreak of a contagious disease.

Have you not seen 'Inception'?

It's a dream within a dream, within a dream - same theory applies here...I think.

Don't really know what Rob is getting at.

Had a pretty dreadful weekend and didn't manage to watch the game but set pieces seem to have become a massive massive worry for us again.
