Victims FC back in Europe

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Victims FC back in Europe

Post by Bradywasking »

The media are knee deep in their own sperm at the thoughts of this majestic night , the oh so dreary TV3 Irish channel were even at it this morning because they are showing this game. Liverpool returning to their rightful place, Liverpool returning to the scene of some of their greatest nights.
How about ;
LIVERPOOL ARE RETURNING TO THE COMPETITION WHERE IN 1985 THEY BROUGHT GREAT SHAME ON THEIR COUNTRY ,

I can't watch football on TV3. Worse commentary than either SlySports or the BBC.

The media wankfest over the murdering scousers is appallingly embarrassing. The fucking sense of entitlement sickens me and the poxy mediawhores help breed it. Hopefully the Victims get tonked in their group and they can go fuck off into the Europa.

I hope that if the bin dippers get past their group, they have to play Juventus in the knockouts so that they and the media have to address Heysel 30 years on.

I can't quite understand the hatred towards Liverpool FC on this forum.

yes obviously their supporters are a bunch of :censored: but to be fair to them their European record puts ours to shame. When you win 5 European Cups then the media are entitled to go a bit crazy I think.

about time we concentrated on competing for this competition rather than just moaning about it.

Calling this thread Victims FC is just another example of why football and morons go hand in hand together. I hate Rugby but the matches have atmosphere and none of this crap.

Not sure where you live Rob , but DB10 and i live in a City of obnoxious mouths that support Man Ure , Victims or Celtic and some times two out of the three. They generally don't give a fuck in bad times but crawl out of holes at perceived success. ala Man ure last Sunday.
I actually respect Liverpool's European record , I just can neither stand or understand the constant media bias towards them, the media love of their fans and the airbrushing of mass murder from the same media and fans.

So I am a moron, well I am in good company on this forum. There are a lot of posters on here who feel the same about Liverpool FC and their persistently bleating fans. I respect the history of that club but not their attempts to airbrush the parts they don't like out of it.
I also hate rugby, so I would have no idea what the atmosphere is like at it.

If you don't understand the irony of why they are called victims Fc,then trot off to rugby there's a good chap.

If you think it's wrong to find the treatment of the victims in this country absurd, then I don't think anyone can help you.

Just as a matter of interest what on earth has Bradywasking thread got to do with our record in Europe.

You are an oddball Rob. Can't quite decide if you just like being contrary or you have a permanent poker shoved up your augie passage.

The issue for me is one of the hypocrisy of the fans and sometimes of the club.

In general, for their most successful years I think Liverpool FC conducted themselves in a very 'proper' way (like we used to), but for many years now that has not been the case.

They rightly mourn those negligently left to die at Hillsborough, but completely ignore the fact the deliberate actions of their fans killed many, innocent Italian fans.
This is just one example of their 'victim' mentality (see also: Suarez bans, calling for JT to be banned for life over the Anton Ferdinand incident, but claiming the Cannibal shouldn't banned at all, calling for the FA to investigate Everton's 'cheating' loss the Citeh etc).
They're not the jolly, friendly fans the media would have us believe. I've been to Anfield and dodged darts and ball-bearings, seen them beat up young kids for supporting the wrong team and seen them gate-crashing away grounds.

This is then compounded by the media wankfest over all things Liverpool and the amazing number of boring-as-fuck ex-Scousers commentating on various channels. Additionally, in recent years their managers have joined in (Dalglish, Rodgers, the Fat Waiter etc).

I'm not a fan, in case you were wondering.

Whatever about their record in Europe ,the fact tht they have over the years airbrushed heysel out of their history, where their fans murdered 39 innocent people, and the chairman of their club blamed Chelsea supporters because there were apparently fans speaking with London accents.

Take in to account the 5 yr ban for all English clubs.Who is to say in tht period when we won the league tht we wouldn't have gone on to win the European cup with George Graham and completely change our history.

Yet we have to have Hillsborough rammed down our throat every season ,of course it's sad tht people went to a football match and never came home ,of course I've sympathy for their families, but Liverpool fc milk that tragedy every season, yet never acknowledge heysel.

If you lived in the small town I'm from and had to listen to their deluded fans spouting their shite ,you would hate them.as much as me.

Rant over.

What's the difference between a cow and a tragedy

A scousers wouldn't know how to milk a cow.

Not sure this is a good argument as I'm sure you would have heard the same argument in Berlin 1943. However, if the victim's reference is wider to encompass what GranadaJoe said about Suarez, the t shirts in support etc.. Then fair enough but I still think it's a bit tasteless as it can be misconstrued. If we called Chelsea Victims FC then it wouldn't be an issue as they have not had a high profile loss of life during a match

Did you honestly just compare this to the rise of anti-semitism in Nazi Germany, really, come on.
