THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

the rate at which we are picking up injuries (as usual) will probably mean by the time we go to Stamford Bridge for our annual thrashing the back 4 could well be Bellerin, Monreal, Chambers and Flamini.

the fact that we already are going to Germany for the FIRST champions league group match with only 3 fit defenders should be a sackable offence

If we get turned over tonight - and it is all down to our lack of defensive quality - I wonder what excuses the Inept One will come out with!?

I keep wondering if he will EVER take the blame for something - rather than make ridiculous excuses and blame everything and everyone else, rather than just man the f*ck up and accept responsibilty.

Could a lot of injuries...and a lot of hammerings lead to the promised land of Wenger being slung out...all well and good when his bullshit gets 4th place and through the group stages...but if all that fell apart early on.......

one can dream i suppose!

I think he'd just blame it on the injuries whilst ignoring the fact that, had he strengthened the defense rather than just replacing some of the outgoing players, we wouldn't be in this mess!

when you have the backing of the majority of the fanbase and have just signed a 3 year £8 million a year contract there is no need to blame anything other than injuries.

Defences anyone?

We'll be hearing the same in 2 years time, picking up non-existent signs of progress and about how Arsenal are going to kick on in the next year. It's fucking bollocks.

I have said it before and I will say it again. He should have walked on a high, but his ego has gotten in the way of common sense. The players have gotten a bit better, but the performances have progressively gotten worse.

It's going to end in tears for Wenger. Get used to these shite performances because that is going to be the norm from now on.

It's actually comical, 30+ years and he doesn't have a clue, not a clue!
Fair play to Wonga, he earns 8m a year for being an utter shit football manager. You have to give him credit that he can keep people behind him when he clearly hasn't any idea of what he's doing unless it involves saving money!!

17 consecutive CL failures and he even manages to spin that into some form achievement.

Save yourselves the bother, why get your hopes up as long as he is in charge? Finished and surpassed in 2009, yet he is still here.

Can only look forward to 2017. Wake me up when we get there.
