Same bloke, different name. Writing style not changed. Last time round this oddball resorted to asking forum members to meet him for a tear up, I was offered the same kind invitation for outing him as a scum fan. Have to admit that bit amused me.
Shame that goal didn't go in as he needs one early, thought Di Maria was awful until his fluke goal yesterday but that changed the game for him, same as with Sanchez when he got his first goal and he now looks the part.
Hopefully his first goal will come tomorrow, he did ok for me.
after initially thinking WTF when we signed him I am now actually pretty well buzzing about it,ok he aint Costa,but he could well turn into our Sturridge,signing him was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than nobody at all,after his performance on Saturday I think once he understands his team mates hes gonna tear it up for us
If you asked for Welbeck's career so far summed up in two games these would be perfect.
All-round play has been pretty impressive and he is clearly a pain in the arse for defenders at times but ultimately he's had 4 or 5 great chances and hasn't even forced a save. If he adds even a little bit of composure in front of goal to his game he will be an accomplished striker.

No point in picking him out above the others cos they were all dogshite What I will say though, is that last night summed up what many have always said about him.....works hard and has great pace but when it comes down to consistent finishing, this guy is not at the top level and a £16m price tag or an english birth cert will not disguise that That he didnt even hit the target with any of his 3 good chances is fcuking woeful though
can't really blame him because he's only been here 5 minutes, I am sure once he gets his forst 4 0r 5 goals then we will see a better finisher, he has many good attributes.
But like I said last season when Walcott got injured that that was the end of out title tilt, we miss the lad badly and when he returns (as long as he is fully fit) then we will be a much better team and he will score goals
