Why are we committing our full backs so far up the pitch when we are 3-0 up?

Would Giroud have been able to thread that ball through for Ozil for the first, or have made up the ground to finish the second? Dannyboy may or may not be a better player than the Handsome-one, but he may well suit our system better.

BTW.
Every time I've been to Villa Park we've won, last time 4-0. Same again please.

Agreed, it was a quality weighted pass dissecting the Villa defence.

Also his workrate is very pleasing, he doesn't jog like Giroud does, he actually runs.

I thought nobody could be worse than AW at tactics, but Lambert's 'we're 3-0 down so we'll sit back and hit them on the counter' is bizarre.
Gives our defence time to play it around and the rest of the players to dictate the pace i.e. have a bit of a rest now and then.

F*ck! Wenger hasn't made any subs on the 70th minute - That means 2 - 3 subs on 75 - 85 mins.

Rambo needs to come off - Gice rosicky a run out his pace would help a 4th goal!... :barscarf:

Surely it would have made more sense to take Chambers off with a yellow & a warning :banghead:

Maybe we will get to see him in the Capital one cup then.
That will be worth the £10 ticket alone

No chance of being jaded for our next match, 2nd half was just a kick about.

Glad of the 3 points, + our first clean sheet !

Schez made 2 decent saves.

Ramsey still out of form.

Quality passes from Welbeck and Ozil led to the goals.

Glad Ox got a decent run out as he has deserved it.

We have a bit more fight about this team with Welbeck, Alexis and Chambers all have that about them, but we are still 2 decent players away from being top, top, quality.

bit rubbish for the first 25 Mins, much better after,(Villa are shite anyway we had 78% possession in the second half they just gave up)

well deserved in the end :barscarf:

Ozil for MoM ? thought he did well in his proper position, and was coming back deep to look for the ball too,

Wellbecks running is much better than Giroud, and pulled a few defenders about took his goal well,

All in all a nice bounce back from the terrible performance against Dortmund, again Villa are crap, but a win is a win :barscarf: we are not going to win the league (obviously) and are still a few players short, but nice to enjoy the win in any case

pints :D

Like most on here, I wasn't confident about the game ('high-riding' team, one goal conceded, blah, blah). Then I saw the Villa teamsheet (Richardson, Hutton, Senderos. assorted players I'd barely heard of ...) and I'm staggered they've even won a point.

Didn't see the game (Listened on 5Live) but as someone said - Amazing what playing Ozil in a more central role can do, someone said he is/was MOTM
