Scum at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

After not really thinking about it for much of this week, the nerves and the buzz of these games have kicked in. Bloody hate these games and find them more of a relief when we win. The thought of losing to them is horrible, don't think I've ever forgotten that 3-2 defeat against them a few years back and it is far worse when it's at our place.

No messing about lets just go in there and do our job. If we play to our full ability we should beat them but we never seem to give them a good hiding which they deserve. Even when we were at our very best and they were at their very worst (David Pleat caretaker manager type bad) they were always draws or tight games.

Yes, solid Arsenal connotations there - Pires and Michael.

Feck - woke up early and started thinking about the game straight away - couldn't go back to sleep

By all that is Right and Proper we should win this today, but that NLD mentality thing keeps going round and round in my head.....

yes;
We are at home
We have better players
We need to come back from the mid-week defeat (at home) - even though it was not our full strength side
All the pundits, radio shows etc - even their own past players and fans (except for a few) are saying Arsenal will win this.

They have a new manager who is still trying to get them to adopt to his system/tactics etc
They're away from their toilet and not used to such superior surroundings and facilities
They are a bunch of vermin *word censored* (natch  :barscarf: )

BUT, the times I have been surprised by results, just last week-end is a prime example ...

So...we should Win this.....but until the well Large Lady sings - I ain't counting me chickens.

My gut is like a washing machine on fast spin - Just did my Match Day Morning Ritual Bacon butty - and could barely face it....I hate these Late Kick-Offs.

:banghead: :? :cussing:

:rubchin:

From the way it sounds like you are feeling, that butty wouldn't have stayed in your gut for long

Should be more nervous but I was actually more nervous about Villa last week.

It's not over confidence more a case of expecting the unexpected. It's the Arsenal, it's a north London derby so will expect anything.

Still hope we smash 'em :barscarf:

If you fancy making an easy £50 for your beer today then open a Paddy Power account and get Arsenal at 5/1 to win!! Max bet £10 but very tempting :barscarf:

We've not given them a good thrashing for a long time.

I still remember every kick of the Brady, Rix et al 5-0. It'd be nice to get a modern version, before my memory starts to go.

Big congrats to you and the wife Falkirk goon and good to hear everyone well 8)

Re the game today, I think if we score first we will end up winning about 3-1 8) Think sanchez will endear himself even more to the Gooner faithful by scoring today, and further goals from ramsey and kos will secure the points :barscarf:

The only time they've won at us in the last three centuries we had to try very very very hard to lose the game.
