They didn't get as far as the George. I was standing outside and the place emptied - a few of the vermin got battered, most ran up HR and across the road towards the ground opposite HR tube.

We huffed and puffed in the first half then as we ran out of steam we got caught 3 or 4 times in as many mins ,losing possession with min 6 players ahead of the ball and they broke on us 4 on 4 4 on 3 we were a shambles.

They were shit however and the moments passed thank god but we could have been 2/3 down against a quality side .

Things only really got going after Sanchis came on , suddenly we looked good , why he wasn't on from the start astounds me .

Felt that Ramsey and Arteta Flamini were woeful and now we have a full blown injury crisis with just a handful of games gone !

We never look like winning these games any more - something I naively expected to change this season. We appear to just make up the numbers in certain games. Playing Everton, City & Spurs and not losing any of them sounds good but in reality we could have easily lost them all.

Still a long way to go but I can't hold out much hope for this season. 11 v 11 against Chelsea will be interesting but like I said, I don't hold much hope.

Given the up/down nature of Ramsey's performances this season, I'm interested to see how we get on without him.

So frustrating Saturday wasn’t it!

I’m really disillusioned by it, keeping Alexis out was something we predicted with the games coming up, but that was with the proviso that the team would remain as per the side that battered Villa. Wilshere and Ramsey do not seem to excel when they are played together, I don’t know why, but it seems that way – to accommodate that by moving Ozil out left was a very strange decision.

I actually thought Ozil had a good game, but when a world class no.10 is high on confidence I just don’t see the benefit of shifting him into a position he finds uncomfortable, I agree he needs to work harder out there – but he is our “Fabregas” if you like, the one player who can create something from nothing in terms of a final ball – and he has less opportunity to do that out left.

The injuries are a worry – how is Arteta, a player who had the week off, getting calf injuries? Luck? His age? – if it’s the latter why is he club captain and why wasn’t something done about the lack of defensive midfield cover. Ramsey you can say was just bad luck – but again, he isn’t a player who has been run into the ground as much as the likes of Chambers, Kos, Ozil etc. I don’t know any team who picks up as many injuries as we do, it’s literally one a game, and that’s is obviously a major hindrance!

I maintain that game was watershed for me, Wenger has mad bad decisions in the past but if he is willing to mess about with something that if you asked 99% of football fans, lets alone Arsenal fans, didn’t need shifting, you do have to wonder if his ideas are not really going to work in terms of a title push, Not strengthening the defence was almost unforgiveable and whilst he knows the condition of players better than we do, I don’t see how moving Ozil was of any benefit – particularly after the subs. They are a bang average side now, obviously derbys mean players become more committed but we have drawn a lot of games and we need to turns those into wins if we are going to push.

I just think we are quite an easy side to defend against for the majority of the time, our passing is slow at the moment and the final ball is usually woeful. That’s why Ozil needs to be involved In those areas. We still have class, we have the ability to do something special but the way we set up gives even average sides a chance of something – and we are always liable to concede one. Set pieces are a joke, 15 corners and not one of them did we look like scoring, how many hit the first man? Or go right past the penalty box altogether?

Maybe it’s a bit harsh given we are still unbeaten – but after Sunday there is a very realistic chance we will be 9 points behind Chelsea – that’s a decent gap for October. We need to prove it in a really, really big league away game – but I just can’t see it on Sunday, and I fecking hate that club, the people that support it and the people in it! Ha! Id like us to go back to the 4-5-1 we used in the CL run on sunday, its defensive, but we were so difficult to beat and Welbeck has the ability to lead the line with Alexis and perhaps the OX doing the running work – both can defend well too.

Just annoying that its simple things that let us down, because we are so close to being a very good side!

Still scratching my head at how we drew this one. We looked good and eager for the first 20 mins or so against a Spuds team who were very poor, but we just seemed to misfire constantly and then went off the boil. Utterly mystified as to how yet again we're in the middle of another injury crisis so early in the season.

The swamp dwellers as usual celebrated at the final whistle as if they'd just won the League. A point away against us probably represents the summit of their ambitions.

Credit to the Ox though - he has some real passion. :barscarf:

Cheers DB, he's loving it so far, he can't wait to get over there this will be his 4th game this season! Believe it or not I'm even getting my enthusiasm back through him....!!!
Neither of us really enjoyed the game, our play is so slow, ponderous and lethargic and downright boring these days, also my boy (who has just turned 6) and who obviously hasn't worked 30 years in football was shouting at Ozil not to kick the ball so long at our corners... (we're right by the corner flag 3 rows from the front)  I've also seen in the press today that Wenger, shock, horror is apparently going to start practising corners now...
