Flamini and Hleb.

Flamini and Hleb.

Post by Rob »

So - Boys ( & Girls) looks like we've seen the last of Flamini and could well have seen the last of Hleb too.

By my calculation we therefore need :-

A commanding Central Defender
Two midfielders, one to defensive central, one offensive.
One Winger
One Forward

And that assumes no one else buggers off.

Does anyone really think that our 'esteemed' Manager is going to have the 'nous' to deliver on that ?

And if he doesn't - and given how we've fallen short this year - what does that say about the liklihood of matters coming good (ie a trophy) next season ?

At least if they leave it will give Wenger a reason for buying some players instead of one, not too bothered about Hleb to be honest. But Flamini i'm gonna hate to see leave, seeing as we made him. I'm just hoping that if these two leave that it won't open up the flood gates for the likes of Fabregas to leave.

The quality of players that want to leave Arsenal is getting lower. It used to be TH14, PV4 and Bobby, now its Flamster and Hleb. I'd get seriously worried if Eboue touted a move to further his career.

It will be a real blow for the team if we lose both Flamini and Hleb two class players i think. I just hope this only paper talk at the end of the day. :?

We need 5 players if these two go - THAT'S FOR SURE !

Do I have 'faith'in Wenger ? No I don't have 'faith'. I accord Wenger just the same amount of leeway I gave Wright, Mee, Neil, Howe, Graham and Rioch. That is :- they are the Manager and if they 'manage' correctly - ie call it right - then I back them. If they call it wrong; and keep calling it wrong ; and wilfully refuse to do what is necessary, then I don't back them. Quite the reverse.

As I see it Flamini is 85% out the door. Hleb - 50/50.

At all events Wenger's stated intention of keeping the squad together at all costs, is about as credible as much else that Wenger says these days.

I am sure you can draw the logical conclusion from that.

I hope they both stay but I can see Flamini going for sure. Hleb I ain't so sure about. Paper talk is not always wrong though and thats a worry. IF they both go we def need to sign quality replacements, not just bring in another promising youngster.

For all the people who say Flamini will stay as will Hleb and that it is all papertalk please bring some evidence to the table as to why you think this!

Your opinion is just that, an opinion, but what basis is it formed on?

But that won't happen. If they leave, we'll stick Diaby on the left permanently and play Gilberto again

Flamini I have consigned to the gone bin, Hleb I think is mostly papertalk. Arsenal have very good player, ergo he will be sold as Ronaldo will leave when Real Madrid offer £100 million. I don't discount the possibility he could leave but I tend to dismiss buy's/sells as papertalk anyway

Looks like we're losing Flamini for 10k per week.

Losing Flamini is a massive blow.

But lets not forget that we signed him on a free after he had given his previous club his word that he would be staying with them.

Looks like he is the type of guy who just cant keep still.
