I have not been happy all summer.
I posted this at the end of July.

the sad fact is that despite a reasonable transfer window we still havent got a squad that I believe is capable of pushing for the title. It is a squad which Wenger is confident about reaching the top 4 with again and that remains the limit of our ambition.
this is not trying to be negative, just realistic.

If you like kebabs then yes it willCork City Exile wrote:I don't normally get excited for home games in Champs league but because of the history with these guys I'm looking forward to it.
I didn't go to Emirates cup, but for anyone who did.. what was the atmosphere between the two sets of fans like?
(I suppose most of the Galatasaray fans at the emirates cup were London Turks rather than proper away fans)
The away leg will be tasty I reckon

Wenger-speak for "niggling injury". Soon to develop into "long term injury". Again.Dan_85 wrote:Diaby "to be rested"Bless him, he's had a hectic schedule recently...

no a complete failure. we left Highbury to win things - we've haven't.Gunner Rob wrote:
Wenger merely carried on success at the club. His last 9 years have been almost utter failure.
and the 1998 - 2002 success was built on Seaman, Adams, Bould, Keown, Dixon, Winterburn, Parlour and Bergkamp.
It was the purchase of Vieira and Henry that made us world class in the PL, but the spine was already there.
only the 2004 team can be claimed to be truly wengers - and that was won on the back of one man - TH14 - 37 goals in 30 games.

Im sorry but that is total rubbish - Henry was one of many excellent / world class players bought to the club by Wenger (lehmann, campbell, kolo, lauren, cole (brought through), Gilberto, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg - need i go on?) - that was his team and to say anything otherwise is a tad foolish. A lot of those players were plucked from obscurity too.
His problem is he hasnt moved on from those times.
Re: Galatasaray (H)
To call 98-2004 luck is total stupidity.
He was a good manager that just hasn't moved with the times and is too blooming stubborn to do so. As a result it's time he left as he has become sh*t in an embarrassing way. But cut out the Adrian Durham f**king boll*cks please.
Next you'll be saying the invincibles wasn't a big deal

Re: Galatasaray (H)
that invincible team was shite, look at the pass completion rate. that midfield screamed for a denilson, instead we just had paddy viera running through the opposition and lumping it forward to henry to score. bo-ring
