Mr Wenger

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

TFI Arsenal wrote:..what can i say ECD, arent you an Arsenal fundamentalist? Surely if i agreed with everything you said you wouldnt have anything to do anymore?

so i'm no longer lurking, save me reading every post on this forum and tell me what the general consensus was on Gallas last season, so i can find out who my allies are
TFI,

Fundamentalist? Me? I've never contributed any money to crazy people! (get it? fund a mentalist!!).

Now it's true that I pride myself on educating the uninformed - that's what us knowledgable people do, you know! And if you did agree with everything I said, that would make you a genius also!! (don't worry, while the likes of T.S., Red Carpet, U.F.G Andfield '89, Gus and Chopper continue to contribute nonsense , there will be plenty of work for me still to do!!)

As for Gallas: I think we all acknowledge that he is a great player but due to injuries, we never really saw the best of him last season. Most Arsenal fans were happy with the Cole/Gallas plus cash exchange because it was felt that we had a weakness in central defence which Willie would solve. The one worry is that we lack a bit of height and heading ability when Gallas and Kolo play together, although there is plenty of pace to make up for any mistakes on the ground. This season will give us a true assessment of his worth to Arsenal and is a pivotal one for Gallas.

Anything else you would like to know? How to solve the Middle-East/World Poverty/Gobal Warming/terrorism problems perhaps? You just need to ask!!

By the way, I glad that you're no longer lurking (are you a Frankie Howard fan? :? ) It could end up with you getting arrested and charged! :D !

Now, I know no one asked me, but that has never stopped me before!

AA'86, I would suggest that you don't fight your urges. Give in to your feelings, and all that Star Wars lark. I'm convinced there is nothing that needs curing!

AA 1886 and TFI

Do not be suckered in by the ramblings of ECD! His words are those of a mad man!

My view is that he is an employee of the forum whose sole role is to promote discussion through the posting of ill informed nonsense. While good to envigorate discussion they are not intended to be viewed as ideas that could actually be put into practise.

Lookout soon for a disclaimer under ECD's messages stating " These views are not necessarily the views of The Gooner and therefore cannot be used in any libel case againt us".

All that said I do like having a banter with him!

I heard (am starting) a vicious rumour that ECD is actually Adrian Durham from Talkbollox.....would explain alot.

AA1886, your lucky I have the same problem although I originally suffered from a similar condition seeing white shirts with chickens on which then got worse and started hating red shirts without white sleeves worn by strange things such as shrek/a horse/Gary Neville. I'm just hoping it's not going to get worse although am getting some warning signs that i might have just contracted a catalan strain.....

Busted!! Shit!! Now how did you two guys manage to work that one out? :o And without a calculator as well!!

Yes, I'm the Arsenal-bashing ginger whinger from the radio who everyone loves to hate . I thought by putting an avatar of Wrighty on my posts, I might be able to deceive you guys into thinking I was the hero of the masses and that proper gooner Ian Wright!

I was hoping to ingratiate myself with you stinky gooners in order that I could win your trust, then plant seeds of discontent and disharmony among you. Foiled again! Damn, blast and every other polite profanity you can think of!!

Ah well, back to talking bollocks on the radio it is then!!

Good going fella!! 8)
