Winning there 3-0 in 1997 and Ian Wright winding up their fans, going there for a long time and knowing that they just couldn't beat us no matter how hard they tried, winning that replay in 2003 after Terry had scored an own goal and Lauren scored in font of us, drawing 1-1 after one of their players, I think it was Gudjohnsen got Vieira sent off and of course wining there 2-1 in 2004 after being a goal down in less than a minute and then completely outclassing them.
I remember us being kept behind for about 45 minutes after winning there in the cup in 2003, getting lighters, coins and rocks thrown at us as we made or way out of the ground and then coming out on to the road and it looking like a battle ground with police and horses lining the streets, police cars and vans blocking roads and their scum fans trying to swing punches at all and sundry.

First went there in 1979, two days after we won the FA Cup, drew 1-1. For the next twenty years saw us win there precisely once..& that was a pre-season friendly in 1982 !!
Turned up in 1999 expecting the same drivel, sure enough 17 minutes to go 2-0 down, pissing rain blowing in my face, team don't even look like scoring , me & my mates did the off. Then Kanu started to play, we all know what happened !!
I've been back once since that "fateful" day, season 2004/ 2005...we lost
Never again !!

Of course - here's the happiest one from last season's joyful day at the Bridge. Is that Augie or Falkirk Goon holding the banner proudly aloft ?StuartL wrote:Any happy memories from last season to add gents (and ladies.......where have they all gone ?)

Oh to have a striker like him for tomorrow. Sadly we're gonna have to watch the French oaf amble around and do fuck all.
Giroud and Sanogo are both injured.
