As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
after the inevitable contribution today for chaski second goal it was a great decision to not buy him from the man with 30 years of football under his belt, and anybody who voted for us not to resign him,you bunch of bellends, just fuck off,you are as bad as that cluless twat who calls himself our manager

What difference would signing Cesc have made today? He'd have still been caught up in the tip tap shite whilst Chelsea brushed us aside. He, more than anyone, will know what being part of a losing Wenger set up is all about

cos he wouldn't have set the second goal up,thats all steve.cescs contribution this season has pissed all over ozils, the stats shown yesterday on sky are frightening in fabs favour over ozil ,bearing in mind ozil is the reason we didn't need Fab apparently, maybe ozil will have a great third season or fourth

does that mean we should not support good singings because of arsene. Someones going to inherit this team might as well give them something to build on.
Cesc wouldn't have stopped the loss, maybe only Ronaldo would have. Even if we had matic on our side we would have lost.
Cesc is better than anything we had, and considering injuries I'd have paid the money.

Forget about cesc's assist for their 2nd goal today, and instead look at the work-rate and intensity he brought to their midfield today cos I would suggest that he won more tackles than our midfielders combined As I argued at the time, cesc knows our league and knows how to succeed in these games plus he is a guy that is driven by the will to win (a rare thing in such a money infested sport ). Ozil and cazorla together are not fit to tie cesc's boots and re-signing him should have been a no brainer for anyone that has watched football for 30 days, much less to those that have worked in football for 30 years
That being said, a quality physical DM and a manager that can motivate and tactically prepare his team, is the reason that we continue to lose these games so not signing cesc wasn't the reason for this defeat

Thank-you augie that is exactly what I wanted to say and you saved me the work.

Precisely why he left us in the first place & doesn't suit us now. We are not winners, we are geared towards maintaining mediocrity. And what makes you think Cesc would be playing like that under our passive loser manager anyway? He was a lazy cvnt at the end of his Arsenal career, let's not forget & mythologize.
Wenger hands United the league by giving them van Persie, now he hands Chelsea the league by passing up the opportunity of re-signing the league's best midfielder. What a tool.
