He's lucky he was away with the national team, this would never have being diagnosed at Arsenal and he'd be toging out at the weekend
The club sent him to the German squad telling them he had a pain in the knee, the Germans took him for the scan.

The scan would be looked at by an independent doctor and the club doctor, so in this case I am sure the club would have found the injury too.

He's already missed 133 days due to injury at Arsenal
4:42pm - 8 Oct 14
Bit misleading, he had fitness issues at Real Madrid mainly not being able to complete 90 minutes in a less demanding league so its no surprise hes picking up these injuries here when wenger refuses to sub him off even though hes clearly gassed.

Thats about the crappiest stat Ive seen, he played 40 FORTY matches last season, as well as an ever present bar 15 mins in the WC and then all matches bar the credit card cup this season except for the weeks that BFG and Pod also didnt play, that doesnt count as "injury" so wherever is the 133 days? That would mean a minimum of .

Where does the 133 days injuries come in- seemed to remember he was injured for a couple of games if that many last season, and he only joined us on August 31st, 400 days ago.

Is that some sort of dog or cat calender where a day = 3 human years or something.

He also I think covers more ground than most in matches for us, as well as being one of the fastest, he just doesnt appear to sweat about it.

Whatever this is really upsetting news, especially as he did so well in the last 2 matches when played as a number 10 :|

I wouldn't have wanted him to get injured, but if AW was going to continue to play him out wide, it may be a blessing in disguise.

It's so frustrating to read about this latest injury to another of our players, in this case it's Özil.
I can remember watching Özil play for Germany long before he came to us and thinking at that time he was a cracking player. I don't know why he hasn't been turning it on for us. Perhaps it's being played out of position, perhaps it's something else, I don't know. What I do know is on his night he can be a match winner.

Get well soon Mesut, Hopefully Wenger might play you in the middle like he did at Villa (you know, when you scored and had a great game) on your return..most likely in the new year along with the rest.

We seen it with Arshavin, Podolski, Ozil and it's heading the same way with Sanchez. If he inherited the Madrid squad he'd have Bale back playing left back and Ronaldo on the bench.
We could piss 2nd spot this season, had we a decent manager in charge and not the current fucking idiot.
I have given up on us already this season, because what is the fucking point when every man and his dog could make a better fist of it the fucking Wenker.
Thank fuck for the international break.
I wouldn't call Podolski a big star. Not in the same league as those two any way.
Sydney, I would disagree, he came to Arsenal a German international with loads of caps and goals to back them up, a hugely successful player at his former club. Just like Ozil and Arshavin his Arsenal career started off the same way only for Wenger to either take a dislike or start moving them all over the pitch.
Either way it wouldn't matter who this imbecile had at his disposal he would fuck up their career. remember Bendtner Daneland's finest striker, played as a winger?

you are much more likely to get injured standing still with the ball than running along and taking one or two touches IMHO.

Wenger OUT !
Sorry to be overly pedantic about this but we don't play tikka takka. The BarcaWhores play that. We play a shitty Tikka Takka-Lite which is a slower, boring, easily defeated, less effective version also known as Tippy Tappy.

I find Ozil a mixed bag. Some games particularly after joining I though he was the answer to our problems as Jack wasn't playing as well. I think since the Bayern Munich penalty his head has dropped and playing him on the left just isn't working (I know he did for Germany but the team was able to handle him not tracking back we can't).

The injury in a way could be a good thing for him to get his head in order and hopefully he comes back stronger than ever! :barscarf:

The only thing I'm afraid of is that if/when we sell Ozil it will be a major boost for Wenger's cheap young french policy, because "you zee, we spent 42 million and look what happened, spending money does not bring success."

I seriously don't believe we'll use this 30m to buy Cavani (never gonna happen), neither Draxler.
The best we could get is Khedira (why when Jack is good there-Wenker) and some cheap players to fill the blanks. And 10m in the bank.
