Hull Tigers at home

Just watched their first goal again and the way people are talking you'd have thought murder was committed. Yes he pulled at the shoulder a bit but I thought our self appointed hardman and midfield leader would have been better than that - he stopped running like a little girl who'd grazed her knee falling over in the playground

Personally I'm more concerned at how Diame waltzed through the non existent tackling

Mert's reaction astounded me, thought he could have closed the space down easily and cleared the ball and then bitch at the ref, instead he chose to do nothing before bitching at the ref after the event.

That's what I thought. I thought it was a foul and moreover it would be given in that situation 9 times out of 10. But it was fairly gentle and it didn't warrant him crumpling like that.

NAIL on the head Steveo truly shocking, and not the first time this season, Flamoni is so piss poor now it embarrassing. That being said Im afraid that I don't think Arteta would have been much better in that situation

What IS up with Mert too- last season awesome, this really really poor- Koses injuries maybe it I suppose :?
gunner Rob wrote:looking at the highlights you realise why the players were half asleep at the start of the 2nd half - hardly any supporters had returned to their seats. this is one of the most frustrating things about going to watch the Arsenal these days, the late arrivals before the first and second half.

Rob you cant have queued up trying to get a drink at half time, unless you leave before the end of the first half there is little chance you will get back in before the second half starts. That and the daft no alcohol in the ground itself rule doesn't help. The "organisation" at the kiosks is piss poor. Why they don't pour out the drinks in advance of the half time, or get drinks orders in and paid for before the kick off is beyond me. The queues for the loos are a disgrace too, though the loos themselves are better than the 1970s

Having said that do you really believe that the team is woken up only by the fans

Was that really booing the ref at the end- sure sounded like the booing was more against the performance IMHO, especially as the "disputed" goal was in the first half. :?

Shocking, thing is, he can not be replaced, for me, he's one of those where he's decent on the ball and when things are under control but put him under real pressure and he falls apart, should be our 3rd choice centre half and nothing more.

One of the most pathetic interviews from him ever. He seems shocked that this reporter would dare question him. He should apologise to her. What an arrogant wanker.

I think it's a bit harsh, I think despite having lead boots he is a good CB who is bang out of form and is being stitched up by the dreadful nature of our defensive organisation. Can't pretend he played well again yesterday and was indefensibly caught for the second but is it a tremendous surprise that he looked better between Sagna and Koscielny than Bellerin and Monreal?

Ironically although he was never able to build a consistent CB partnership Vermaelen is the sort of CB who thrives off the sort of panic and chaos that our defence is exuding at the moment!

Wilshere's effort in closing down the cross that led to their 2nd goal is non-existent, also the poster Afcforever must be a fucking window licking wum I go with my 6 year old son and even he can see the problems that we have, the biggest one of them is the flapping fraud on the touchline!!

As discussed on this forum earlier in the season, a potential centre back pairing of Mertesacker and reserve left back Monreal was an accident waiting to happen. This is solely Wenger's fault for inadequate squad strength.

I really felt for Semi Ajayi. He did well v Saints at home in the league cup and a home fixture v Hull was ideal for his league start but was only an unused sub. Now he'll probably feel like he'll never get a chance and his career will fade away.

About time this point got highlighted. Every time we get a corner and I hear that mild ripple of excitement from the fans I think to myself "why?"

A lot gets made of our defensive lack of concentration at set plays but I think our attacking set plays are absolutely fucking woeful. We could have 30 corners in a game and fail to have a chance worthy of the name from them

Let Santi dolly one up in the air with no pace and stand back whilst their CB heads it to safety or fail to get it past the first defender. Yesterday saw this repeated time after time - utterly fucking pointless....we might as well let the oppo have a goal kick and win it back in midfield

Another example of the 'under coaching' of this team - look at the stats for those past few seasons. Pathetic

In many ways I have to agree with Rob in his assertion that the empty seats at kick off , half time and the end of matches can't be exactly inspiring.I have never understood why people that universally complain about the catering are unable to go 100 minutes without an overly expensive badly served glass ( plastic ) of flat bitter or semi warm lager. They by arriving and leaving when they do add to the indifference that the crowd and the team display.

I have no understanding why we hit outswingers. They are miles easier for the opposition to defend and require more contact to score on than inswingers. Infuriating.
