Other matches 25th 26th

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nice to see Jenkinson playing for one of our 4th placed trophy rivals today whilst we scratch around wondering whether to play Chambers at RB (and hence have Monreal at CB) or young Hector Bellerin

Michael Owen has just said that "City look a little bit jaded"

I hope There's Only One isn't listening......."you can see from some of the results today the impact of playing midweek in the Champions League"

What a bastard for joining West Ham. Bit like others I suppose, he had to leave us for success!

Song playing well!

fat sam has done it again.

as much as i detest him, he can organise a team and beg and borrow talent - that Sakho was in Ligue Deux last season, now he's scored 6 in 6. to score twice against city is pretty impressive imho.

we are now 5 points behind west ham :banghead:

i watched the classico and real madrid are fucking incredible right now. showed exactly why the tippy tappy shit barca play is out dated, which then goes for us as well since we do it with way worse players.

madrid played a 4-4-2 against barca with modric and kroos as their 2 central midfielders. neither one exactly known for their defensive capablities, but it shows all you need to make it work is 2 skilled hard working players with discipline, as well as 2 wide players (james and isco) who work hard defensively.

In reality Real Madrid should have won by more, their play on the break at pace was awesome but was let down on a few occasions by taking the wrong option. Barca looked a tired team, not in terms of energy levels but in terms of what they were attempting to do. Suarez isn't match fit but Xavi looked finished. (probably will prove that wrong in time ).. With the great ability to be wise after the event, them selling Cesc was as bad as us not signing him.
