The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And we'd be much stronger for it :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

If we sell Ozil after declining to take Fabregas on the basis of having Ozil, I would expect that even the AKB's would rise up against that one. If they didn't then it would just show how blind they can be to our failings.

Ozil simply cannot be allowed to leave. If he does then the board and manager should follow him out of the door.

Arteta?

I no longer consider him good enough to start. Has lost a lot of form since the 2012-2013 season.

I do not think Flamini is the long term answer though.
It might end up being Hayden who has impressed but until he might be ready then who knows?
Coquelin? Chambers? Oxlade-Chamberlain?

Spudmasher

If Ozil fails to produce by the summer, I would sell him.
Cut our losses, bring in a more productive player who suits the way we play better.
But let us see what he can do if/when he combines with Theo and Sanchez in a run of games.

I agree Arteta is unfortunately past his best, no doubting that. His legs are gone. But to be honest, if his legs were actually really GONE and he had two stunps, I'd still pick him ahead of Hollywood tackling, lunging, no brain, caught flat on, no pace, arm waving, finger pointing, stupid shouting, cowardly hard man wannabe, Captain fucking Stupid Flamoney. If Arteta was dead, I'd still play him ahead of Flamoney.

This might seem harsh to some of you pussies out there, but Flamoney is Comedy Eboue, Denilson and Alex Mong rolled into one, given a quick lobotomy, and thrown on a pitch with his brain full to bursting with farts. :x

All joking aside, I really don't understand the liking for Winston reid in recent months :? Is he cheap and nearly out of contract ? Of course he is but the fact that he isn't good enough to displace either BFG or kos in the back 4, is probably a big factor for le cock as it reduces the risk of upheaval in the squad  Of corse I would look at it from a different perspective - if he isn't good enough to compete properly for a starting position then stick with chambers as our number 3 centre back and recall jenkinson for the back up right back spot. I really don't see the point in buying average second grade players
