Burnley at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gentlemen, take a leaf out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's book........ FFS STOP SLIDING ON YOUR KNEES AFTER A GOAL

PLEASE STOP SLIDING ON YOUR KNEES...look at the example of PV4 in 1997-98..such a celebration against Man U put him out for a while with a knee injury. We are more than capable of getting injured without doing this.

Didn't the great Dennis Bergkamp injure himself sliding on his knee's after grabbing our 3rd goal v the scum at highbury many moons ago ? It was the one where wrighty twisted their left full into a dizzy haze before crossing the ball to the back post for the great Dutchman to clinically finish them off :barscarf:
Jumping celebrations don't ensure safety either.

Always loved a finger wag or fist pump. Safe and easy.

Back in the day I used to mimic the aeroplane celebration that the norweigan guy used to do (jan aage whatshisname) when I scored - despite lefty's otherwise, I used to score plenty of goals from sweeper back many moons ago 8)

A good win. But a win that we should get every time. Burnley will be relegated.

Sanchez showed fantastic grit, commitment and skill. He has so much in his game.

Nacho did okay but, again, it's only Burnley, so he sould do okay. It was good to see Theo Theo back and hopefully he can stay fit and add that pace up front with Sanchez and we can (maybe) finally start to get away from this dreadful static tippy tappy shite. Was delighted too for Chambers scoring.

Apart from Sanchez's second goal, the best two moments of the match for me were Pod's fantastic technique in hitting two sweet volleys. A real shame they didn't hit the net, especially the second one which left the upright shaking for about ten minutes afterwards! He was unlucky, but it was fantastic technique. We have got to utilise his clinical and top technique as part of a central 2 up front, even if it's with one off him, as he would score a fuckload.

Good to see Captain Stupid Flamoney still has the Hollywood lunge on the halfway line in his locker! Yay! :barscarf:

In fairness, Arteta and even Captain Stupid did okay against relegation fodder on Saturday, but (unfortunately) Arteta's legs are gone and Captain Stupid is stupid and they will be exposed against the better sides. Arsene has got to sign a decent DM in January. GOT TO. :|

I know he's got to be classed as a flop, and I know if he didn't try to burst the ball every time he shot he'd probably score more, but I could watch Poldi hit a football all day long - WOOF.
