Support the team through thick and thin (23/4)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Support the team through thick and thin (23/4)

usual thread starter… there is a huge contrast between the attitude shown by a good number of the supporters at home games and the dedication of those that travel – as we saw post-game at Old Trafford. But if people are not going to come – as at the Reading game – why not at least put their tickets on offer through the ticket exchange system. Seems like madness to me.

As for getting on the team’s backs, there is no doubt that we’ve been spoilt this season, and too many take the winning football for granted. Do it in the pub, but surely better to back the team at the stadium?

I agree with the adage of supporting the club through thick & thin and if Arsenal were to 'do a Leeds' I will still be there. It does not though mean being a nodding dog & not being able to vent frustration & anger when it is due to both the manager & the board. Our manager great as he is seems to be immune from criticism. A wonderful opportunity was lost this season due to Mr Wenger's stubborness to succeed with youngsters & not spend cash that is there on experience that the squad is desperately lacking.
If anything I believe fans in the main are apathetic & accepting of a season that unnecessarily ended in such disappointing fashion.

When does the time come when the fans start to demand trophies? Can Arsene continue to play the best football in the country without winning trophies? Would the fans put up with that for 3 more years?Paying the highest ticket prices in the country.Seeing star players leave every summer.Look at how many empty seats there were against Reading

Have supported them since mid seventies as a young kid, I go when we are poor and I go when we win trophies.
