I'll just leave this here:the playing mantis wrote:sorry no. eduardo hadnt shown much at all to suggest he would have been one of our best ever finishers before his injury.
he scored a few light value goals in cup comps, and was decent but imo not even as good as pod.

Re: The Mesut Özil Thread
Of the players on the pitch as he scored, only 2 are still with us and one of those is Diaby, the other is Gibbs . Of the 6 on the bench only Walcott and Ramsey remain. Big turnover in 4 to 5 years.

Re: The Mesut Özil Thread
BBC reported earlier that Özil is out for another seven weeks. Gotta love our medical team.

Re: The Mesut Özil Thread
The only time my old man will see the light mate is when Haley's Comet comes crashing through his window. I thought the worm might be turning but his response to last weekend's debacle was "tell me how many other teams could cope with all these injuries", followed by "look at how much United have spent and where they are"Ed Hunter The Gooner wrote:Hang on there SteveO, the darkness will end and all the fallen shall see the light...SteveO 35 wrote:Whilst I sympathize Mesut old chap......imagine how it would feel if you're old man still sang There's Only One Arsene WengerEd Hunter The Gooner wrote:If true, very sad but explains a lot...

Re: The Mesut Özil Thread
Wenger confirmed today on his appearance on Frances BeIN1 Sports that Ozil was injured when he came back from the WC - which explains why wonga played him every single game but one then

It's always sad and sickening when family members become embroiled in disputes over exorbitant sums of money.QuartzGooner wrote:More here on the rift between Ozil and his father, arsenalnewsreview.co.uk had a letter about it a few days ago too

Apparently he is blaming the old man for getting him transferred to an unambitious club that has a senile old has been in charge
