What makes me laugh the most, is he wrote this, when we are about to be raped by united, and Dortmund, love to see pricks like this squirm, as he tries to offer an excuse for these upcoming debacles.SteveO 35 wrote:I gave up at the linenorthbank123 wrote:Drawing comparisons with the Invincibles and the double-winning team of 1970-71. He is clearly not inept, or stupid, or “clueless” as some suggest, otherwise Arsenal wouldn’t finish about par where they should every single season
Because that's what its all about for the best paid manager in the league isn't it - finishing 'par'. I remember clearly when the Arabs bought City, old Sir Rednose sat back and thought "Yep......par is now third behind Chelsea and City so be content with that for the next few years"

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The imbecile who wrote that hilarious propaganda piece clearly had never kicked a ball in his life.
Finishing "par" as SteveO points out, is abysmal for someone on £8m a year. Top managers are paid big money to outperform and exceed expectations. Not to get bitch-slapped by the Chelskis and Citeh and Dortmunds of this world. It's really desperate when the best AKBs can do is point to 4th place finishes to validate their messiah. Pathetic.
Arsenal's wage bill is higher than Chelsea's, yet look at the respective performances? Wenger spent more on players this summer than Jose and Pellegrini, yet he can't even touch Fat Sam in the league. Truth is, if you have virtually any competent manager in any top division Arsenal's wage bill and resources they'd get 4th. In fact, in a league so weak beyond Chelski/Citeh I'd even back Paul Merson to do it. That piece is hilarious shite, written by a clueless numpty whose desperation shines through...
If "par" means chucking leads v Anderlecht n Swans, and if "par" means you can't get a single result v Jose in over 11 attempts (when even Pulis has managed a win)....

Well 890 pages and Wenger is still in charge. To me it sums up our fans acceptance of total mediocrity dished out. Add to this ticket prices and I find it all quite unbelievable

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
in todays news, Wenger spent 2 hours on a French TV football show today where he exclusively revealed :
1. Ozil came back from WC injured (which is why wenger played him twice a week before he broke down kicking a ball... )
2. he nearly signed Paul Pogba - woo hoo.
3. Podolski came back from the WC tired (why is why he hasn't played) and he's not for sale "I fix the prices" (WTF ?)
4. Diaby is not injury prone or fragile - its the competition for a place in the team...........

Most of his comments are really crazy nowadays. He is mentally ill or he gives the media and fans just one big fuck you with his comments just because he can do so.Gunner Rob wrote:the comments about Diaby are crazy

Wenger is the only manager in the world who keep telling us the players he missed out signing. As if we should feel grateful and overjoyed

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So Pogba is another to add to the list of virtual signings.
It's a veritable Who's Who of stardom:
Pogba
Ronaldo
Zlatan
Messi
Varane
Benzema
Mata
Modric
And to think, our Genius manager woulda played all of them out on the wing, before finishing in errr, 4th, and selling the lot to Citeh/Chelski!
