Agreed BWK. This Manure team are still poor and they will be beaten by relegation fodder more than once this season. But we have a mental block since the 8-2 IMHO.

We should beat them. We won't. :|
Good. A run of losses is exactly what we need to keep the anti-Wenger sentiment going. :barscarf:

i'm starting to think that if we lose this game it will be the beginning of the end for him.
I don't care what people say about his never walking away from a contract - the way i see it the scale of abuse that he is going to get is going to get progressively worse over the next couple of months. a loss to United will be the start of a very rocky ride.

Don't even think about it mate - poor old Rodders kept convincing himself that There's Only One was going to walk away. That £8m a year contract which has 2 and a half years to run will keep him warm at night never mind what the fans and the media might say

The amount of cash he ridiculously takes in every season for effectively not managing means it's the easiest gig in the world. As he showed with that Jacqui Oatley interview, and in the aftermath of the 6-0 at Chelski last season - oh and who could forget the 2011 quote "if I don't win the PL or CL with this team this season, I'd have failed and will reevaluate my position" (he signed a new contract despite winning sod all and finishing 4th, yawn)...he's already insulted Merson and hinted at a Diaby deal, and he effed off to chill with the Pope in Rome whilst it was burning FFS. After Swansea, post-Anderlecht, he effectively told fans they were mugs and he'd keep chucking attackers forward in the 92nd minute of games.
If he loses to Manure, he'll probably respond to fan anger by signing a contract extension on the pitch at full-time!
Basically years of spinelessness from our bunch and errrm, pro-Wenger love parades (no names mentioned ahem) have made him feel untouchable. Fans? Mere peasantry to supplement his lifestyle.
He's Marie fucking Antoinette and the only way he will go is via major peasant revolt - I can imagine the likes of Block 2 leading one eh...

Maybe your mates at Red Action could get something moving eh?

We've had the wonderfully mature and well reasoned "sod off Jabba" so how about "sling yer hook Arsene"

I thought you might like this by the way

I still think that he is the only man who will ever determine when he leaves the club. And I still think that he is miles too stubborn to walk away and admit that he's not the best bloke for the job, certainly not in the foreseeable future.

But I am very surprised at how quickly his credit for winning the FA Cup has eroded away. Bearing in mind what a huge monkey it was to get off our backs, fans and journos alike seem to be giving no regard to it and instead focusing on the 4th place angle. Not at all unjustified from the point of view that it was supposed to be our platform yet despite some handy signings we've gone backwards, but still a bit surprising nonetheless.

And whilst I have been apathetic so far this season and been able to take some positives from defeats and Wenger consequently getting caned in the press, I would absolutely not be able to stand losing to this lot. Fucking hate them.

Giroud could be in the squad according to the BBC. Wonder what this means for the other strikers, presumably he wouldn't have him, Sanogo and Poldi on the bench?

It almost sounds as if Giroud is being rushed back prematurely for this game. Shows how much confidence Le Tool must have in his other strikers to be rushing Giroud back eh :rubchin:
What's concerning is that Giroud is someone with a record of zero goals in 2 years vs the liked of ManYoo, Chelsea and Citeh. FFS he hasn't even scored any league goals v Liverpool! His record against the big teams is abysmal. He's 28 is it and yet just got a fat contract extension - based on exactly what? He's already slower than a dysfunctional toilet flush so he ain't gonna get any quicker.
And when he invariably limps off injured and Sanogo replaces him, the excuse will be "who could cope with such injuries"?

He has scored against the pool unless I was halucinating at the the time, in a 2-2 draw at home a few seasons back, he is however bang average.

Did he? U may be right so that makes me wrong on Pool count.
My original criticism about his big game performances still stands
I don't know who's more average him or Welwide?
