Another achievement for our great manager. Anyone who thinks we will win tomorrow is delusional, we are shit against them, no matter what injuries they have.
100% agree - the fact remains that they could have an entire back line of U-19s playing for them and still look more secure than our back four. Even by Wenger's standards our current defensive line up is absolutely pathetic and that includes the protection just in front of the back four (sorry the lack of protection). Rooney and Van Persie will fill their boots - I'll be absolutely amazed if United don't score at least three goals

That recent record against United is embarrassing. It also angers me when I think of how limp we were against them last season when they were there for the taking each time. I was in my teens when we had the big rivalry with them in the late 90s/early 00s so they are still the team other than Spurs that I want to beat the most, anything other than a full blooded effort against them tomorrow is unacceptable.

I would say they are there for the taking tomorrow because of their various problems but then again they are probably looking at us and thinking the same thing and considering how dire we were against them even when they were managed by Moyes it doesn't fill me with a lot of hope.

All that being said I will be ecstatic if we win tomorrow eve :barscarf:

Not sure why a lot if folk are so confident of us winning tomorrow. See lawro predicted 2-0 win as well.
No chance we'll keep a clean sheet. Hopefully be a good game unlike last season's borefest

4 wins in 30 games :banghead:

conceding 60 goals - on average 2 a game. whereas we only score 0.4 of a goal a game.

its not rocket science to see where our weakness lies is it ? - people give mourinho stick for 'parking the bus' but why give your alleged rivals 3 points twice a season ?

City isn't nearly as bad. I can only think of 2 times in the last few years where they've beaten us. 6-3 at Eastlands and then 0-1 at the grove.

Why not extend the record back to when Mourinho first came to England in 2004

Played 25
Won 4
Drew 6
Lost 15

Scored 22 (including none in the last 4 games, 2 in the last 7)
Conceded 43

yup, a few more goals scored but almost dead on - 6 wins out of 43, 81 goals in 43 matches.

its not rocket science - don't lose away and try and nick a win at home.

What these numbers prove is what any non AKB can see, and that is, we can finish 4th under Wenger, but we will realistically never reach the level to be properly competing with the top sides, and will never win the title again under him. Another statistic from our great manager, we haven't finished 2nd since the 2004/2005 season, so by the end of this season, that record will have stretched to 10 years outside the top two in the league, and in that time we have only finished 3rd three times. Wenger is a loser, simple as.

And of course, as you look deeper and look to more recent history the stats are even more galling just like with Chavski

No wins against City in the last five, 1 in the last nine.......and of the 2 in the last 13 one of them was when Boyata was sent off in the first ten minutes

Surely worthy of a massive chorus of

ONE ARSENE WENGER........THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER

What's concerning is that Giroud is someone with a record of zero goals in 2 years vs the liked of ManYoo, Chelsea and Citeh. FFS he hasn't even scored any league goals v Liverpool! His record against the big teams is abysmal. He's 28 is it and yet just got a fat contract extension - based on exactly what? He's already slower than a dysfunctional toilet flush so he ain't gonna get any quicker.
And when he invariably limps off injured and Sanogo replaces him, the excuse will be "who could cope with such injuries"?

He has scored against the pool unless I was halucinating at the the time, in a 2-2 draw at home a few seasons back, he is however bang average.
Did he? U may be right so that makes me wrong on Pool count.
My original criticism about his big game performances still stands
I don't know who's more average him or Welwide?
 Seems you forgot Girouds goal against Citeh at Wembley too a few months ago- TBF it was a great one :barscarf:
Oh we're counting the Charity shield as a competitive game are we?
Well while you're at it, might as well mention that Sanogo scored 4 vs Benfica in the Emirates Cup!
By my reckoning RVP never scored 4 in a game for us, sooooo....
And don't forget, Moyes won the Charity Shield too! Aaaah yes the Charity Shield. Dawn of the new Wenger era after a win in a friendly...

the stats show more than anything that wonga is the luckiest manager in the world - had England just had one more decent team right the way through the last 10 years then its highly likely that we would have only qualified for the CL a couple of times rather than 10.

as it is, city, liverpool, united and chelsea have rotated through the top four to always let us in each year whilst still managing to consistently beat us.

the saints city game could be interesting, if southampton don't lose, then us, swansea, united and possibly newcastle will be fighting for 4th.

You know the old bastard will still lead us to 4th; the AKB will collectively climax in a sea of spunk mixed with slightly guilty euphoria and many WOB will resort to self-harm as we are told how it is "Wenger's greatest, bestest achievement ever".

NOBODY ELSE COULD MANAGE ARSENAL. ARSENE IS ARSENAL. IN ARSENE WE TRUST.
