As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You know the old bastard will still lead us to 4th; the AKB will collectively climax in a sea of spunk mixed with slightly guilty euphoria and many WOB will resort to self-harm as we are told how it is "Wenger's greatest, bestest achievement ever".
NOBODY ELSE COULD MANAGE ARSENAL. ARSENE IS ARSENAL. IN ARSENE WE TRUST.
This is the year where we don't. I am certain of that as unlike years past, we haven't clicked at all and we are nearing the end of November.
2-1 loss tomorrow. Rooney with one of the goals because he always scores against us.

as it is, city, liverpool, united and chelsea have rotated through the top four to always let us in each year whilst still managing to consistently beat us.
the saints city game could be interesting, if southampton don't lose, then us, swansea, united and possibly newcastle will be fighting for 4th.

I just don't get what joy the AKB gets out of CL qualification?
It's a bit like showing off cos ur girlfriend the aspiring actress just got her bit-first part in a major movie...
As a fluffer....
(And fluffer is apt as we usually merely warm up the likes of Bayern/Barca before their serious QF match)

2008-09 we were in a similar position - five defeats before Christmas, three draws just before the window opened and the oh so precious Be All and End All c u n t of a competition slipping from our grasp
All of a sudden a £15m player was available in January - never to be repeated as 'nobody wants to sell in January' - and a run of wins saw us overhaul financially doped Aston Villa into 4th
Prepare for the same - some panic buying in January which will convince the AKBs that he has seen the light and a desperate dash for 4th. So much shit in the PL still - Liverpool having as much bad luck as they did good luck last season and definitely won't finish above us. So which other 4 clubs will?
Willing to bet anyone that despite another series of bollocks performances against the top clubs we'll still scrape home in 4th
He's too poor a manager to challenge for titles anymore but not poor enough relinquish the virtual trophy, especially with the players at his disposal.
The annual pant-soiling celebration will continue unabated.
Seriously who will finish above us ? Citeeh and the chavs for sure, but the rest are every bit as shit as we are The standard now is so low that I believe that this manure team will get top 4 despite the fact that they are utter dogshite The victims have regressed hugely (as expected) and their confidence/feel good factor is shot as well The scum are.......well they are the scum - more in house fighting allied to the fact that their talent level is the weakest it has been for years means that we will see another deja vu scum season. As for the best of the rest, I suppose the toffee's are an outside chance but they have started poorly, and if anyone really believes that the saints will finish top 4, then they need to get off the drugs fast cos it is clearly frying their brains
SteveO is bang on. Welbeck left Manure to get a central role and now...if he's farmed on to the left tomorrow it'll be interesting to see his and the crowd's reaction. I don't rate Welbeck (2 PL goals v Hull and villa FFS. A £17m striker) and like Giroud he doesn't deliver in big games. But, I'd take him over Guivarche MK2 any day...
Welbeck wIll bottle a couple of chances and miss, Giroud will miss a few that a decent player would score, we will look shit and Rooney will score two easy goals. Wanker will look a twat yet again.

I agree, and it will be hailed as 'progress' by the AKB's, despite our playing standard regressing year on year.
The stark words hang in the air as Patrick Vieira reflects on one of the most tense moments of his Arsenal playing career, when he was sent off - deeply unjustly, he felt - following a skirmish with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
"At that moment, I hated him," confesses Vieira of the then Manchester United striker.
I understand the point of view that losing to these pricks will make life uncomfortable for Wenger, but I just can't stomach it. Can't fucking stand the club, or their poxy fans. I hope we fucking batter them, and if we 'must lose for the greater long-term good' then it can be against relegation fodder..

I hate the way Wenger has made me feel indifferent about Arsenal getting beat now,an Arsenal defeat used to give me the proper fucking 'ump for a week, now,I couldn't give a fuck, and I half hate myself for that, because I love my club but hate it too,the Swansea defeat 2 weeks ago didn't even bother me,I don't see any defeat as "for the greater good" because we all now that mug in charge is totally uneffected by them, and he'll go when he's ready and not before, having said all that I hope we beat these wanker's today, even if it takes the heat off Wenger for a day or so.
(sorry if this should be in the Wenger thread,I was replying to TM)
