City 1-0 up. Nailed on pen and red card for Benatia.

Chelsea, Sporting and Barcelona also all 1-0 up.

Great hit from Alonso. 1-1.

Chelsea can't get Bayern if they win tonight. They'll both be group winners.

LOL. 2-1 Bayern. Good header from Lewandowski but Hart shouldn't be beaten like that.

Bayern now winning 2-1. The moment they went down to 10, their manager made a change. Our one would have let it drift for half an hour whilst we let in another five.

I think they will probably go easy on Pellegrini for another 8 or 9 years. That's the norm isn't it?

no, it shows how good a manager Pep is - Munchen are without Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Thaigo and Goetze too.

as BBC text said - as soon as they went to 10 men, he went 3-4-2 from 4-5-1. plus they have the discpline and organization to make it work.

bought by benitez wasn't he ? - or Houllier ?

he was the one who made Torres at Liverpool imho. Alonso is probably up there with the very best midfielders - platini, deco, davids, iniesta, gentile, zidane, de boer etc that i've seen play in the flesh.

 Good point guys. I hang my head in shame - something our beloved manager is incapable of.
